"We stayed with a friend and her 4 year old - the folks running the farm were super friendly, and the 4 yo is still talking about how she misses Ben & Bob (the farm Collies). The cottage is on a working farm, and has been nicely restored, though it's clearly an old building, and I must have banged my head *every* time I went to load the fire in the kitchen!
It's a place with real character - the farm has cows, goats, chickens, and fish, and would be great for anyone with kids.

"The lords seat was a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great location with amazing views. Nice to have the extras like the dvds and games. The only disappointing thing was the water going off (ironic in the lake district) but obviously not your fault. The only thing that would have helped is instructions on a couple of things. "We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. There is a village shop nearby and several pub restaurants. There are a number of great walks on your doorstep from easy to more challenging without needing drive.. A beautiful area to explore so...

"A true gem in the heart of Keswick! The property felt like home from home, but with the luxury and convenience you would expect from a holiday rental. There is free onsite parking, check-in is easy (the hosts actually contacted us on the day to say we could check-in earlier if we wanted to), and communication with the host was quick and helpful.
