"Our family trip to Cabin in the Blue Ridge was perfect. The cabin was large enough to accommodate our group, with beds to spare. The kitchen had everything we needed, even large pots and pans, plenty of baking sheets, 2 coffee pots, and two ovens, plus there's a huge table for meals, and board games. There are bathrooms on each of the three floors, which is nice when you have a group. There was plenty of seating on the porches and the views from every side were just stunning. We could see...

"My partner, and and our 17 yo daughter enjoyed a week at this cabin. The kitchen was well-appointed, the living room and front porch was very comfortable. The view and access to the New River was fabulous. Even two neighborhood dogs came by for multiple visits."

"This. Place. Is. Awesome! The pictures do not do it justice. Amazing location far from civilization. Great place to go to unplug. I wish we would have had more time to spend there but we were just passing through and only stayed one night. Whether you want to do your best impersonation of Henry David Thoreau or get back to basics with the kids you cannot go wrong with this property. The owner is a really nice guy as well. "

"We had a great time. Everything was as listed. House was very clean and comfortable. We liked it so much that we booked another stay. House is close to two nice State Parks where we hiked and tubed! Fast responses from the host. Highly recommend!"

"This property is beautiful and the house is wonderful. It is very important that anyone who stays here is aware of the steepness of the driveway! My car could not make it up. I had read the reviews that warned me and I just thought they were over reacting. They were not. I had to haul my stuff in from half way up because my car could not make it any farther up. "Overall, the house was fabulous and exactly as described. "This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. There is a trail down to the river (not for those with limited mobility) and it was a fun adventure finding the markers in the trees. "Our family had a lovely time at Walker Creek. We enjoyed the spacious house, ate family dinners at the dining table, and played several games of pool in the game room. My husband and son fished every morning using the kayak, canoe, or just walking into the creek. The property is beautiful and peaceful. On our last morning there, my son was fishing, of course, and saw four otters swimming in the creek. They were so curious about what he was doing. It was a great family getaway!"

"The Huckleberry Cabin was very cozy and nicely decorated. It was rustic and true to its original build in the 1800’s with modern upgrades. Walking through the front door was like stepping back in time. Great place to stay to get off the grid and reconnect with nature or unplug from the computer, but also close enough to town if you need supplies. "
