"Amazing stuff and nicely remodeled property."

"We had a fantastic stay at Black Bear Lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning wooden interior that gives it a real mountain lodge feel. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was ideal too, tucked away in a quiet setting but only a short drive from local shops, restaurants and other amenities. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"The check in was pretty a chaos cause my expedia account didn't approve my card, luckily the receptionist still let me check in. Also there was no phone in the rooms so if you had a question, you had to go all the way to the front lobby to get your questions answered, not sure why they don't have a phone in the rooms. Our ac in our room also wasn't really working that well. Room 212 , I believe."

"There was some construction going on (that was to be completed before our arrival) to the area below our room. The company discounted our stay and was very apologetic. I think because this is an offsite reception type of hotel things can happen that they deal with remotely. Cleanliness was great , however, being sensitive I was aware of scents my husband wasn’t. I am unaware of amenities. It looks like there is a fire pit area being finished up possibly. I would consider staying...

"Blue jay lodge is close to all of South Lake tahoes big areas, but still on a quiet strip. They do give you tickets for $5 off if you want to go to the private beach which is 3 min drive. We enjoyed our stay. There was a few cons: 1) there is no attendant there so everything is done online including room key and we kept getting messages (about 4-5) over our 1 night stay. 2) rooms walls are extremely thin. We could hear every conversation of couple next door, just as a warning. 3) check in is at...

"A wonderful hotel. I wish they were more clear about turnover service needing to be requested 24 hours in advance but otherwise I had a fantastic stay. I would come back!"

"Did not like the property at all. Our room smelled like someone poor a gallon of bleach on it and left it like that. When we told them that the bleach fumes were giving us a headache, they told us to open the window."

"The room was clean and very cute however there was no one at the front office when we got there and their maintenance man saw us in the parking lot asking for our contact info without ever telling us who he was. He was trying to be helpful but I except someone to be available at the office upon check in. In addition there was work being done in the room above us and all kinds of of banging happening until 11 at night and then again starting at 6 AM"
