"I stayed for a night on 4 July 26 with my sister and we had a lovely time, the hotel was cosy and the staff welcoming. We had a double en-suite room each and the rooms were cosy and well decorated and furnished. The bathrooms were modern and the showers were great. The beds were so comfy, we slept so well. Breakfast was great and they made me vegetarian sausages. The staff were wonderful. We will be returning . It was great value for money too."

"The room look like a building site. Plasterwork cracked paint work flacky. Bathroom there was little room betwheen the toilet and shower.yesterday morning after the toilet l found thè mess coming up the shower drain.l will not be staying there again."

"We stayed over for the concert at the open air. The hotel was clean and well maintained- all the staff were polite and friendly. Our room was clean. The bar was lovely and the restaurant and breakfast was perfect. The en-suite was very small but clean. The only thing that would have meant full star rating would have been a better parking arrangement, - a quality mattress and blackout curtains. That being said we would definitely stay here again."

"Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed...

"Staff were helpful however the room was awful. No toilet roll upon check in and also no toilet roll holder. The bathroom was very dusty, the shower took about 20 attempts to switch off. The room was uninviting, stains on the carpet and the chair. The TV seemed like an after thought and was on the windowsil. There were patches on the wall where they appeared to have repaired something but it was a very poor job. The room door did not lock and we had to put the chair againat the door overnight....

"Old Victorian hotel that needs some work. We were placed in a small back room that even though was a non smoking room smelt of smoke - so much so all our clothes have gone straight in wash at home. The bathroom had dirt on floors, walls, soap scum mark around sink - didn’t appear clean at all, yet fresh towels etc. Horrible stains noted on side of cabinets, sweets stuck to back of door and carpet, chocolate melted onto desk in room. Have pictures of all these. Good job we were in and out in...
