  • Esta rústica casa de campo tiene acceso directo al lago con un muelle y un amarre. A pocos minutos de lanzamiento de un barco Estado y la Willsboro Bay Marina. 4 dormitorios, 2 cuartos de baño, mesa de billar, chimenea, gran terraza frente lago con vista a la montaña, y una gran piscina. Agua de la ciudad. Cerca de rutas de senderismo, campo de golf, Ausable Chasm, y el ferry a Vermont. 1, 5 horas al sur de Montreal (I-87, salida 33). 2 horas al norte de Albany. A solo 45 millas de Lake Placid. (Siempre que sea posible, el domingo es nuestro día preferido para el check-in y check-out)

This property is perfect for a big family. We loved our stay at Caron Hideaway. The house is very clean, newly remodeled, has every amenity you need including a new washer/dryer and dishwasher. The kitchen is well equipped with all the pots and pans you need, a beautiful set of vintage stoneware dishes, glassware, and serving bowls. The house has central air and stayed a comfortable temperature during the extreme heat this past week. Beds are incredibly comfortable and the carpet upstairs keeps the house well insulated for sound. You don't hear people moving around outside your room if you're sleeping in. The pool is refreshing and well maintained. The deck is a large, welcoming space for father. Communication between host and renter is beyond excellent. I've never experienced a host who was more communicative than Glenn. He provided a wealth of information about how to use the grill, the fire table, air conditioner, and gave many suggestions about entertainment, food, and needs in town. The view of the lake from the house and deck is breathtaking. Liza, the property manager, is around to help with any issues and to maintain the pool. 10/10 Please consider Caron Hideaway for your next lakefront, Adirondack vacation. You won't be disappointed.

Glenn was very good to communicate dining and activities around the area if you needed anything he was able to help with his caretaker close by

Had an amazing week! Loved the house and the pool was great to have! Easy to launch the boat down the street and was perfect being able to dock right at the house!!

We had a great time, very relaxing, the view of the lake was beautiful. If you need like somewhere to relax that’s the right place to go. Glen the host was great, sent a lot of instructions, like where we could do shopping and places to go, was spot on!!! No complaint at all. We visited Plattsburgh town which was gorgeous did shipping etc, took the ferry to Vermont. We enjoy out stay at a beautiful small town, very friendly people around. Thank you Glen it enjoy staying at your property.

Beautiful getaway

This was a perfect location for a family trip with teenagers. The lake, the pool, billiards, a fantastic view, and so many activities and good restaurants in the area. We wouldn't hesitate to consider for another visit!

Great relaxation getaway!

Loved this place and would definitely come back! Glenn was super helpful with with tips for shopping and activities, and Chuck the location manager was on call to help out in real time. The location is even better in person than the pictures, and we loved our time there.

Another great stay!

We had another great stay at Caron Hideaway. It was our third year here and many more to come. There were many upgrades this year like air conditioning, the new patio furniture, and the cleared landscape. We always enjoy our stay, thank you.

A great stay

We spent a week and it was not enough! The property is beautiful!! Could have sat on the deck forever. Soumds of nature, sail boats passing by. Chuck was a great help with places to go and taking care of the property. We are looking forward to going back!

Loved our stay! We came a little early in the season, so didn’t get to do a lot of pool and beach activities, but Chuck had it ready for us just in case it warmed up enough! There were lots of games and puzzles for our rainy days. Great hiking close by, great base to take day trips from. The Ferry to Vermont was a favorite for us, as well as a trip to Lake Placid. The view from the house and the proximity to several boat launches were great! The house was plenty big for the 6 of us. Thanks for having us!

Great host, great stay, VRBO only downside

The VRBO interface became clumsy and confusing after the reservation.My impression is the company is trying to provide value to the owners anneglected the guest experience

Location, location, location

It’s all about the view and water sports. Such a great location for sitting on the beach and looking at the mountains. Great fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Spent most of our time on the large deck and dunking in the pool. We even enjoyed some pool matches. Thanks for a great vacation.

Caron Hideaway Trip

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Caron Hideaway! The house was exactly as advertised, can you cannot beat the patio/pool/view! We did another High Peak during our stay, and the location helped us make it an easy day, with a nice relaxing day afterwards. Glen was very helpful, and even accommodated us a day early as our plans changed, which is great! Thank you again for a relaxing family vacation.

Fourth of July getaway

We absolutely enjoyed our time at the house. The pool was the highlight of our day, and we made use of it all day long. The house's proximity to the lake was fantastic and very convenient for the family. However, the sliding door needs some attention, and it would be great to have a washer and dryer.

Comfortable and Fun

The house was well stocked, clean, and comfortable - we had fun outdoors and inside on poor weather days. The location was great and offered ample hiking, lake activities and easy access to Plattsburgh. Our host offered a wonderful guide of local attractions and activities. The farmers market on Thursday was a nice way to experience local artists. We spent plenty of time swimming and hanging outside with ample and comfortable outdoor seating and at the lake on the two kayaks, paddle board, and dock. This is the perfect home and location for a family getaway.

Beautiful yard!

We stayed for a week at Caron Hideaway and my family had a great time. The lake was beautiful, the yard is big and the deck was perfect for hanging out and swimming. Inside is accurate to the description/pictures. My young kids loved a chest there full of toys in the area we subbed the play room and we had lots of fun finding insects to catch and observe outside (and some frogs!). Communication was easy and the handyman was very nice but luckily we didn't need him much.

Great place for a family vacation

We booked the Caron Hideaway for a family vacation. The house is old and dated, but has everything you need and worked great for us. The house is in a great location, close enough to town to access things, yet far enough away to find peace. The views of Willsboro Bay are beautiful. Unfortunately for us, the beach was flooded so we didn't play in the lake, but there is nothing the owner could do about that. We did have the pool, which was great. The handyman on property (Chuck) is very friendly and helpful. The owner (Glenn) was excellent with communication and provided many suggestions on things to do. Definitely go hike the Rattlesnake Mountain Trail - stunning views at the top! Also suggest going to Ausable Chasm. We ate at the Willsboro Diner and recommend it. Would NOT recommend eating at Indian Bay Marina. Overall, we had a great trip and would recommend the property to other families planning a trip to the area.

Beautiful views and property

We had a wonderful time at Caron Hideaway. We chose this property for the beautiful views and pool, neither of which disappointed. The pool was exceptionally large for an above ground pool and clean. It did need to be filled everyday, but was handled by the property manager, Chuck, who was wonderful to have around. The inside of the house definitely needs some updating. The listing describes the home as rustic, but it really is just outdated. However, the pictures in the listing are accurate so what you see is what you get. We weren't too concerned because we were happy to spend most of our time outdoors on the deck enjoying the views and the beautiful flower gardens, which we really enjoyed. The beach is wonderful but definitely needs to be raked. It did smell a bit by the water which was unappealing but raking it would help allievate that issue. We didn't mind the abandoned houses on the property, however, they are a little spooky. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay

We loved our stay here. The house was clean on arrival and it was easy to get in. The owner and the local caretaker were very accessible if needed. We loved the pool and especially the included very easy lake access: there are 2 kayaks and a standup paddleboard you can use, and the lake is also great for swimming, as the pool is like 4 feet deep or so, so great for cooling down and fun but not for swimming. The location of this property is great as well for side trips in the Adirondacks (Lake Placid is 1 hour away), and to Montreal (1 hour 40 minutes, depending on how busy it is at the border checkpoint). The furniture and appliances in the house are old(er) but everything works fine and is clean, including the 2 bathrooms. The house also has modern airco in all rooms which was great on hotter days. The one minus point is that the single and double beds are short (like just over 6 feet), and the 2 person beds are double beds and not like queen beds. For tall people like us the double beds were quite narrow for 2 people and not so comfortable for us. Please take this into account when you rent this property. But otherwise we had a great stay, and we would come here again if we are traveling with family in this area.
