I hate to leave a bad review and Glenn is a nice guy who tries. But, the photos with this listing are very misleading. Starting with the view from the house to the lake, what the picture doesn’t show is that there are three abandoned homes/buildings on the left-hand side of the photo and an abandoned home on the right. None of the structures are safe to walk around in, so you need to keep an eye on your children. When you first pull into the property, you notice two trailer homes at the front. You come to find out that one is the caretakers home, and the other is a long term renter. You do not have a private beach with this house, as the renter also uses it with his friends leaving cigarette butts, beer bottles and other debris around. The photo of the swimming pool shows it with the solar cover on, when the cover is pulled back you will notice that the liner is being held up in one corner with scotch tape and the deck around the pool is spongy. The deck furniture is old a rickety. Once inside the house the area where the pool table is is on a 30° slant. The pool table is propped up on blocks on one side. The appliances in the kitchen are quite old and while we were there the refrigerator died in the middle of the night defrosting most of our food that we had brought with us. Glenn did go out and buy another refrigerator to replace it but asked my husband, my father and my sons to help install it. Not exactly what we wanted to do on our vacation. Glenn said to us that he was surprised it was no longer working because he’d never had a problem with it in the past. That was surprising to us as the handle on the refrigerator looked like it had long since broken off and was completely missing and the shelving inside the refrigerator were falling down. When my husband pulled out the old refrigerator it had an installation date on it of 1979. There is no washer and dryer and no dishwasher in the house. One day we had a rain storm, and it rained almost as much in the house as it did out. We used most of the pots and pans from the kitchen several bowls and towels to catch the water. When I emailed Glenn about it, his response was “Cripes, that is frustrating” and mentioned that they had done some roof work last year to try to alleviate this problem. He certainly knew that it was still a problem because it has rained several times in the last year... and you can bet the house leaked badly. This house is in serious need of renovation.
