"Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again."

"The apartment was exactly what we wanted! It was comfortable and clean! The host was wonderful and had no issue with answering any questions we had! The apartment is so close to the high street - a perfect spot for nights out or just a quick visit to the center. The only thing we found that there was not any oven trays for cooking but there was an oven. Not a dealbreaker at all and we just used foil that was provided. Just a point for the future! "Room definitely needs upgrading , it did smell bit of wee , the light in bathroom was broken, light on wall was hanging off , I said excellent as the facilities was excellent, sauna , jacuzzi, gym , food was amazing, staff are excellent, but hotel definitely needs a refresher, paint work awlful, carpet terrible, but very nice bed 👍"

"Lovely old pub right next to Chelmsford rail and bus stations. Very welcoming bar staff. Rooms are really nicely decorated with tea and coffee making and separate secure access. Really great value and centrally located for all Chelmsford has to offer. "

The rooms are very comfortable and cosy, they are tastefully decorated and finished to a high standard.
