"We stayed at South Palms, now Oceanica, 8 years ago and enjoyed our stay then and still loved the place. Every staff were friendly and professional and were always willing to assist no matter what it was we needed. Due to the paying public being allowed access during the day, it was busier than normal. "Just an amazing quiet hotel a little away from the sizzling noise of the city. Food and service was excellent and maybe some of the best cocktails we had in all the Philippines. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and because of the layout of the hotel all rooms are very close to the pool. "This property has a certain charm, is very atmospheric with pretty gardens, but seems passed its prime. The room we were given smelled strongly of mold, the private pool was too gross to swim in, the small beach was not inviting and everything generally felt decrepit, dirty and in poor condition. After complaining and showing staff our issues with the room, we were eventually moved to another one which was much better. Our experience wasn't great but some may like it and staff was responsive....

"Un Oasis de verdure, de calme, de gentillesse...loin du bruit et de la pollution et de la foule d'Alona beach. Piscine petite mais à débordement et avec jacuzzi, massages, laverie, restaurant très agréable. Equipe aux petits soins. Bungalows individuels avec climatisation. Excellent rapport qualité prix !"

"The hotel itself is nice for the price, aircon works great and clean with nice staff. However, the location isnt walking distance to anything (not even a place to get water/snacks), so you have to hail a tricycle on the road to go anywhere. 300P to alona beach where there is things to do. Internet was 10 - MBPs, and GLOBE Cell service is great there. so if you have your own motorbike (rental) or driver service its a good budget hotel."
