"The club room was colourful, clean, spacious with a powerful shower, comfortable bed and enough to get around. Seemed a pretty quiet hotel but we stayed on a Sunday evening. No fan or air conditioning in room but we stayed cool. The pool/spa and gym were fantastic with us being able to get a locker for free. "The first room we were out in totally stunk of smoke, we rang reception and they moved us to a new upgraded room! The staff were lovely. The breakfast has changed to buffet style instead of ordering from a menu, and definitely isn’t as good now. Overall good stay though. "

"Me and my partner always stay here for a local get away, always LOVE it however was hit with an eye sore of £35 car parking bill, it used to be £11 overnight in the NCP across the road so probably will book elsewhere from now on."

"This was not our first visit and we are so glad we booked to come again! Staff are all friendly, nothing is too much trouble & whilst it’s not guaranteed we were lucky with an early check in! Make sure you stay for breakfast, it’s delicious with a beautiful view! We will definitely come back! "

"The Holiday Inn is in an excellent location for the castle and everything Cardiff has to offer. The lobby, bar and breakfast area are modern and welcoming; and the buffet breakfast was very good. My only criticism was that our room, although large with a comfy bed, was a bit tired and shabby; it lacked the modern touches that the reception and restaurant have been furnished with and the bathroom is small and a bit drab. As we were staying on a concert weekend the room rate was higher than usual...
