"Room was overpriced for a concert, £400 per night when £220 normally. I’d expect an uplift but not this much. Room was worn, fan and windows dusty and unclean. Other room had no hot water in shower so unable to use. Noisy and limited sleep although bed comfortable No bar as closed. WiFi non existent and no 5G signal so if you want a quiet night and no shower then ideal place. Breakfast mediocre"

"I booked in for one night to go to a local event. The room was clean enough for an overnight stay. The staff left a fan in the room which was handy with how warm the night time was. Parking was on the road outside which was safe enough."

"Nice hotel stayed here previously and it was great , so booked to return for a special occasion with friends, contacted the hotel prior to visit to ask fir rooms on the same floor preferably near to each as we were celebrating 2 special birthdays Unfortunately this was a complete waste of time as when we arrived we were one on the first floor and the other on 4 th So disappointed they supposedly upgraded us but to floors 3 and 4 still not together such a a disappointing experience "

"Room was large, comfortable and had everything you need for an extended stay. Contactless checkin instructions were a bit confusing but in the end I got to my room. The room was modern but could have used a deep clean. Hallways were very noisy due to a family in the neighbouring room (otherwise would probably not have been a problem). Onsite laundry room was not as described in the listing - only one washer/drier and no air dryers on loan and the room was not secured (lock broken). The building...

"Edward stood out as an exceptionally helpful member of staff. So informative, friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. He went above and beyond and we were very grateful as it was our first visit to Cardiff. We had a deluxe room which was very comfortable, executive lounge was an added bonus. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of of choice."

"Room was extremely hot but uk was having a heat wave no fan. Noise from the road with windows open. Small compacted room for single travellers. I think there's damp / mold behind the wall paper. By the bed wall paper peeling could see black mole, also near window. This was a one night stay and Cardiff was busy. I feel the room be cheaper, but your probably paying for location. I wouldn't stay again as there are bigger better places with breakfast available if i had booked earlier."

Its proximity to the train station was appealing to me, but I liked the location for many other reasons as well — close to shopping, restaurants and sights while still being quiet. V small room - like smaller than a Paris hotel room (Cardiff is not Paris!) and no amenities at all - no tea/coffee, no hairdryer - not even a hand towel. Room so small that the TV is up high on the wall opposite the bed and it was almost impossible to bend down in shower to pick up own toiletries it was so small. "Exceptional staff in the restaurant and room service very responsive and helpful. Room spacious 5 minutes away from the City Center walking for shopping and meals including grocery. Would stay again. Value for money. Nice area to just sit by the bar. Very comfortable. Didn’t use gym or spa but would have if time permitted."

"Clean comfortable guest house. Note it has a shared bathroom and toilets . Plenty of facilities kettle and tea in room and kitchen. Shared use of full kitchen. It was the days of the heatwave so uncomfortable only because of that. Bed very comfortable clean linen and towels. All guests were very in tune with quiet period 10 pm to 8 am. I was aid for street parking through guest house arrived early and managed to park directly outside."
