"We stayed for 2 nights, met on arrival by our friendly hosts. Room was as described, clean and comfortable, tea and coffee and bottled water also available. Bathroom was clean and shower great with plenty of hot water. Breakfast room was spotlessly clean, it is clear the hosts take a lot of pride. "Great service from Riviera. I am especially appreciative of them accommodating my very late arrival and check in. The breakfast was also excellent - I highly recommend the smoked kipper if you want something new and different."

"Just ten mins walk to town centre, few minute walk to north sea seaside, location is lovely. The room is clean, the bed is comfy, the shower has high water pressure which is good for after walking all day. The only one thing is kettle doesn't clean, some water left there when I check-in."

"Perfectly located for the harbour, the train station and the bus station we were very pleased to find The Little Angel. On arrival Wendy was lovely and very helpful and the box of crisps and breakfast supplies and fresh milk in the fridge was a lovely surprise. The ceiling is a little low in the bedroom but this is to be expected in an old building and we had no bumped heads. The bed was extremely comfortable. The sitting room is above the beer garden so you do get a bit of noise at night but...

"We stayed in room 17, parrot room. Very large space. TV was obscured by 4 poster bed frame, would be better above mantle. The room is by the front door, and the room above must be wooden floored as we heard a lot of footsteps/lpud thuds on the ceiling. We paid £3 for a parking permit for the W zone, but didnt find a parking space so ended up at the leisure centre - 10 min walk away Bed was comfy, but very soft. Pillows need replacing. "Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Whitby, lots of restaurants around and a short walk from the famous 199 steps. Good value and friendly staff. The supply of shampoo and conditioner was a thoughtful addition. "

"Perfect room and location. We will book again next time we are in Whitby and recommend to friends too. The room only works perfectly, but dont leave your key in the room like we did!! Housekeeper was amazingly and came and let us in, thanks so much!! "

"Nutshell is a really lovely little place to stay, ideal for couples and close to the town. There was a bit of noise on Halloween but that’s to be expected in Whitby - the other two nights were very quiet. We’ll definitely book again."
