Papaka Bach - Awesome Waterfront Location

Just steps to the beautiful Ngunguru Estuary, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this comfortable, fully furnished 2 bedroom, self-contained cottage is your home away from home. We have thought of everything so you don't have to!

The interior is clean, open plan, modern and fresh, there's a full kitchen with dishwasher, stovetop and oven and is complete with everything you need.
Towels and bed linen are provided as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

The use of a small dinghy with life-jackets is also available.
Kayaks are under front of house.

There's an outside laundry equipped with games, toys and an extra toilet and shower, great for washing off the sand before you go into the house!

Large lawn out front for outdoor games, boats and jet skis, off-street parking or just lounging around in the sun.
NB: A walkway to the side of the bach allows beach access to people staying at the property above.

Ngunguru has a 4-Square mini-mart, liquor store, cafe, beauty parlour and Takeaways.
The Sports Complex has a 9 hole golf course, tennis, bowls, and a Bar and Bistro.
Only 7 minutes to Tutukaka with more shops and restaurants.

At the Tutukaka Marina, and Deep Sea Anglers Club, you can arrange fishing trips and/or diving or snorkeling at the world-famous Poor Knights Marine Reserve. There are several restaurants to dine at around the area.

Beautiful Matapouri Bay and the surf beach, Sandy Bay, are just a short drive away.
There are several stunning coastal walkways to explore in this beautiful part of the world. See the book on desk asbyou walk in!
World-renowned Whale Bay is also on the coast.

The Ngunguru estuary at your doorstep provides safe swimming for children. There is a boat ramp nearby where you can launch your boat to explore the pristine Ngunguru Bay and Sandspit and Ocean Beach. There's so much to do on the stunning Tutukaka Coast you'll never want to go home!

For a real kiwi experience, in a beautiful location, you won’t be disappointed.

Special conditions:
Priced for up to 4 persons.
2 Nights minimum stay in peak season and Christmas period minimum 1 week. This is negotiable depending on your circumstance - please ask! Linen and towels supplied, smoking outside only, pets ok as long as they are cleaned up after. The property at the rear above the bach has access to the beach via a walkway down the left side of the bach through the gate.
Internet banking, paypal and cash accepted.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Please clean up after yourself and do the dishes before you leave!

We had the most lovely holiday here for my husbands 50th birthday. The swimming at the beach is perfect and very safe and the sand is lovely to walk on, compared to nearby places where it is rocky and not suitable for barefeet. The bed was comfortable and we loved the ceiling fan, so good on a hot night. Everything was as described and it was really hard to leave (even the dog was whining when we packed up to go home!) We hope to visit again if you will have us!

Well equipped bach in fantastic location

Fantastic comms with the host from the outset and a lovely place to be based. Perfect to have a fully fenced yard for our dog and to be able to put kayaks in the estuary just metres from the gate. Property is clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Lovely little getaway

Very well equipped bach with everything you need to feel like you’re on holiday. Sweet little bach, very cosy feel to it. We loved every moment! Bonus spa pool, what a treat! Excellent communication from Cushla. She really made us feel at home.

Great location

Such a nice spot with fab views. Bach very comfortable including the bed. This bach really has everything you need and more. Enjoyed the spa pool especially since the weather not great. Was great to be able to take our 2 small dogs and have a fenced in section. Cushla very easy and responsive to deal with. Hope to visit again some time.

Perfection

Absolute Paradise

This is probably the nicest little bach getaway we've ever had. Cushla our host was wonderful and fast communication. The property is well appointed. It has everything you could need for a relaxing, comfortable stay, including a spa to relax in. The air con was wonderful on the hot nights too. We liked that the section was fully fenced, so it was safe for our little dog, to come and go as she needed and we enjoyed fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden too! The water is at the gate, the laid back, peaceful beach commumity vibe is great and being able to have our dog there was wonderful. We were really sad we could only spend 2 nights and would LOVE to come back soon. Thank you so much for a refreshing break away from the real world. Your little slice of paradise is truly HEAVEN.

Papaka Paradise

Great location, amazing sunsets, beautiful estuary to swim in, fully fenced for the dogs, clean, everything you need for home away from home. Nice deck and outdoor furniture, amazing pizzeria at Ngunguru. Walk to shops and cafes. Highly recommend. Be aware though that Vrbo charges in USD.
