Bear Den Log Cabin

Our fully furnished cabins are ready for you to enjoy. We are located inside the beautiful Hiawatha National Forest. There is something for all of the outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. Bring your food and sense of adventure and let us take care of the rest.
We are surrounded by all kinds of outdoor recreational opportunities that the Upper Peninsula has to offer. Snowmobilers/ATV's have direct access to the best snowmobile/ATV trails in the Midwest. The Buckhorn Resort is approximately eight miles away and they offer family dining and a lounge that is open daily. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore offers some of the most amazing hiking trails in the country and they are located just minutes away. You will also find numerous waterfalls in the Munising area. Blueberries are plentiful when in season on the property and surrounding area. A property manger is on-site in the office to answer any questions or be of assistance during your stay.

Loved this property! My husband and I stayed here to elope by the falls. Was expecting it to be a bit more private but It was clean cozy and friendly. We loved being able to bring our dogs as well. The property manager is super friendly and helpful if you need anything. It’s truly accommodating and a great location for lots of exploration in the UP. highly suggest this place!

Highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space for our family, and it was so clean and well kept. It is obvious that a lot of care is put into maintaining this cabin. We loved the location and the quiet wooded setting. We would return here and stay every summer if we could!

Cozy, clean cabin in a beautiful setting

We loved our stay!! The cabin was spotless & beautifully decorated with everything we needed. It’s located in the Hiawatha National Forest with many beautiful trails & small lakes nearby. The setting is very peaceful & private although there are some other cabins close by. It’s about 25 minutes to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore & 20 minutes to the town of Munising where there were boat tours & restaurants. Our host was wonderful! We will definitely go back!

I can not say enough about this cabin. Clean, cozy, comfortable, great lay out, and close to everything, but still felt like you were out away from it all. Manager was great and friendly. My wife and I will be back again.

Wonderful and cozy cabin

My family really enjoyed our stay at this very cozy and clean cabin. It exceeded our expectations and was much larger than it appeared from the photos. Everything seemed very new and of high quality. The shower was great and we appreciated the heater in the bathroom. It was a great space to enjoy a chilly, rainy afternoon on one of our days there. The property manager was very quick and responsive to answer a few questions we had. It was a very easy 15 minute or so drive to Munising and easy access to hiking. We very much recommend this cabin and would love to return.

The cabin and amenities were as described. It was easy to get to. It was very clean and welcoming. We had plenty of towels for the 4 of us. It was nice having the pans to cook on and the grill to cook on.

Winter Getaway

The Perfect Cabin Getaway

This was the perfect stay for an autumn getaway. Earlier this year, our family had a not so great experience with an out of country apartment we booked which left us a little nervous to book one in the future. But our nerves quickly subsided as the host communicated well and was super nice and friendly when we had an issue during our stay. As a national park lover, it was a big plus that this cabin was only 20 minutes from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Would stay here again if we’re ever back in the UP!

Super clean and comfortable

The managers were very quick to respond and assist in anything we asked. The cabin exceeds the listing in every way except maybe for one. The cabin isnt as "remote" as we thought. Overall, an absolute wonderful place to stay!

Quiet Cabin

This is our second time staying Bear Den Log Cabin and it was just as nice the second time. The cabin is decorated very cute and is cozy. Very close to Munising and Hiawatha National Park. The communication was excellent and the host is very accommodating. We will definitely stay again another time!

Great location, perfect little cabin!

A beautiful little cabin with all the nice to haves- close to pictured rocks and right in the heart of the national forest. Perfect spot for home base for hiking and other outdoor fun. We loved sitting on the porches and enjoying the fire pit, would absolutely return!

Didn’t want to leave!

We really enjoyed our stay in the log cabin. Remote “in the woods” feel without being too isolated due to 2 other rentals and manager nearby. Just the right distance from Munising for us. We did the Pictured Rocks sunset cruise and really liked the beach near the Park Ranger Headquarters. Also enjoyed a day in Marquette with a great beach near the lighthouse. Cabin had everything we needed.
