"This house was the perfect place for myself and my family. We all fit comfortably within the rooms and had plenty of space in the common areas to all gather and hang out. The house was well taken care of and had everything available that we needed to carry out day to day functions like cooking and self-care. "We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. "Great location & wonderful amenities! You can’t beat the beauty of the river’s view and the woods that surround the property. We stayed with our two young sons and they loved playing outside, the arcade games, and the dock. The only draw back for families is not having an internal staircase, but it wasn’t too much of a problem for us. This is definitely more for a rustic getaway rather than a luxurious stay. It worked very well for our family of boys. "

Some of our favorites were the huge wraparound deck, boardwalk to the water, fishing off the dock, and the fun basement games. The location is a great jumping off point for Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens. Overall, this was a wonderful and relaxing get-away for our family. "

"Our family stumbled across this gem while looking for places to stay for a weekend near Williamsburg. The place was a dream to stay in, the hosts were wonderful and thought of so many details to make guests stay better (fresh eggs, Wi-Fi QR code, lighter and starter logs for the fire pit, all the cooking utensils, the list goes on), and the whole time we were in colonial Williamsburg our 6 yo wanted to go back to the little red barn.
