Waitarere Beach Escape

Located on Waitarere Beach Main Road.

Our Escape is for all, surrounded by the local forest, great for families and couples to get away. A linear built house, with a spacious deck onto a large open area, village shop's and park are within walking distance with a bottle store directly opposite the driveway.

There is a great backyard for kids to run around on or just for basking in the sun. The local campgrounds are very close by if you have friends or family holidaying also.

The Waitarere Domain is a 3-minute walk from the bach which features a couple of small playgrounds, a half pipe, and toilets. There are also a couple of barbeques which are free to use at your leisure

On your way to the beach which is less than 10 minutes walk away, There is a little cafe and gift store right next to the Foursquare which by the way has the best Pies around!

The beach has a fabulous restaurant at its entrance but if you're just feeling some good old fish and chips along with the restaurant there is another fish and chip shop about 150 metres from the bach doorstep.

Levin is our closest town, a 10-minute drive away where there are many food joints to choose from as well as 3 supermarkets, The Warehouse, Farmers and many other shops where you will find everything you need.

For families, there is also Levin's famous Adventure Playground which has a great coffee shop for the adults while the kids tire themselves out on the very large park playground before heading back to the beach house which keeps cool in the summer but heats very quickly from the fireplace during the cold season. We also have two electric heaters available.

Our little bach is perfect for your next quiet getaway with a loved one, family or friends. There is have a high chair and porta cot available for use if needed.

Everyone at the beach is absolutely lovely, welcoming and always willing to help or just stop for a chat!

The property is everything we needed for a chilled out weekend. Clean and cozy. The log burner was very welcome. Our doggie loved the beach and then being able to fall asleep feeling warm by the fire.

We had a great couple of nights here - very clean and plenty of space. There were only two of us, however you could easily have two small families staying here. It was also great to have a well set up fireplace.

This property was a lovely home to stay in. We stayed for almost a week and didnt want for anything! We commented to each other how clean and fresh the home smelled when we arrived. Very comfortable and well appointed with the beach just a stroll away through the lovely little beach community. I recommend this home for couples and families as there is something for everyone. Really enjoyed our stay at this Bach and appreciated that linen is provided unlike a typical kiwi Bach (though you do have to put it on yourself which I didn’t realise) but no biggie! Our doggo had a great time.

Perfect spot for a getaway with whānau & beach just a few minutes up the road. Love that it was pet friendly so we could take our dog with us. Love the open plan living & indoor/outdoor flow to the deck from the lounge & master bedroom. Pool & table tennis was a bonus.Things to note: On arrival the kitchen tap was a bit loose but working. The garage door was also a bit tricky to open but we got there in the end. Overall we had an enjoyable stay & would definitely stay again. Many thanks to the hosts.

Overall clean and tidy. Carpet is fresh in bedrooms and living area has clean and tidy lino type floor. Curtains are vertical blinds which don’t all shut flush, so if you are highly light sensitive, suggest bringing eye mask.

Well kept batch, with nice facilities. I'll mention one possible improvement, I wake up easily to sunlight, and the vertical blinds in the bedrooms dont block enough for me. Curtains would improve this. Still, next time I'll bring a blindfold. Thanks

A lovely cozy bach. Very clean, WELL MAINTAINED, well appointed property with everything we needed. Comfortable rooms and beds enough for parents and 2 big teenagers to still have their own rooms. Warm house. We didn’t need to use the fireplace, although it was ready to use if needed. We had a very relaxing weekend thank you SO MUCH. We would love to stay again!

Fabulous spot for a break away - especially good to be able to take the dog - thanks! Super close to the forest walks - we had a great time discovering these, close to the beach and all the ammenities. Although we are a couple this would also be a perfect holiday house for a family. Sunsets at the beach are breathtaking!
