"My husband and really I enjoyed our weeklong stay here, away from the crowds of Honolulu and Waikiki. Some people said they thought the resort was crowded, but we didn't find that true for us (we went in June). It was definitely worth the hour+ drive to stay on the North Shore. We loved all the hiking trails on the property with many "hidden" beaches all to ourselves (and a couple of turtles). "This a charming and beautiful old building. The individual rooms and common spaces are inviting, and sitting on the lanai with a view of Honolulu is wonderful! The owners provide a simple but filling breakfast and a coffee station and fridge near the sleeping quarters. All staff were welcoming and receptive to questions. If you’re looking for accommodation away from the Waikiki area, or near UH, this is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again! "

"The hotel is in the best location, very close to everything but quietly tucked away so it’s still very relaxing. Our room overlooking the water was superb, coffee and water plus popcorn at the lobby are sweet touches. However, for us, it’s the staff who are the true gems of this hotel. Special shout out to Erica and Khrycel. They are very gracious! Will definitely be back!"

"This hotel is very convenient if you like shopping at Walmart, Sam’s Club, Don Quixote, and Ala Moana Shopping Center. All are within walking distance. However, there are renovations going on in the hotel making for long waits to get in the elevator. $5 breakfast is the best!"

"We loved the pool area. Rooms are cleaned every other day. When we arrived (Saturday night), they had a party going on downstairs. I did ask if this was an all the time thing. The lady at the front desk said it was only the last Saturday of the month. Our first night, they did not have any room in valet to park. Valet parking is $55 a night. There is no free parking unless you want to drive around and find a spot somewheres else. The front desk staff was always super nice and helpful. "

"The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the beach, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The reception staff was very friendly, as was the entire staff. The room we were given was very clean and spacious, and the view of the city was spectacular. The room also has everything you need to cook, so you can save a few dollars. The hotel is cozy, and I recommend it for families. Note: Parking is paid separately and has a $35 fee for the day pass if you pay at the machine...
