The location is the only redeeming quality of this hotel. It’s close to the zoo and the beach and offers a great view. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The room was very disappointing. The king bed was completely lopsided and extremely uncomfortable. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, but the staff member simply looked at me and took no action whatsoever.
The overall energy among most of the staff felt flat and disengaged. This was especially noticeable at the coffee bar, where my coffee was barely warm and the barista seemed uninterested when I mentioned it.
Later, when I went to the restaurant for dinner, I was told I needed a reservation for one person—even though the restaurant was half empty. It felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming.
I will not stay here again or recommend this hotel, especially when there are plenty of other first-class hotels that actually deliver first-class service.
