"We arrived at this cute home after 24 hours of travel. We were so exhausted and were going to go out to dinner but had zero energy. We realized the owner had left us some staple groceries including a loaf of bread, and jelly. I had packed a tub of peanut butter and some chips in my luggage so we had the best PBJs and relaxed! Bonus there was even a bottle of wine in the fridge :) The view around the back was spectacular."

"Big shout out to amazing owners and the cleaners motel was so beautiful spotless it was so easy for us to do things where the shopping center is close by also since been staying there I was easy to go to the hospital to see a family member that not here with us Thankyou we will be coming back for another time "

"Lovely property, friendly and accommodating staff. We stayed at the Rob Waddell Lodge which is a great place for large families such as ours. Amazing views of the lake and very well equipped with everything. Will definitely return and recommend this place to others. "

"The cottages all have a lovely landscaped garden each with walks through them. It was really beautiful and on obviously cared for with love. "

"We had a lovely winter getaway for a couple of days, and especially enjoyed the enormous hot tub. The walks nearby are great, but please note that cafe listed as being 2 mins away no longer exists, so you do need to drive to get food or walk the 6km or so one way to the Waikino Tavern. The house is old, but well kept and clean except for a funky smell in the rear room. Overall we had a great time and would recommend to anyone :)"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Home on the hill. Perfect place to relax as a group and take in the views. This lovely home has everything you need and is comfy and cosy. We loved the movie room too!! Would definitely stay here again if we had the chance. Thank you"

"Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price"

"An absolutely beautiful little place perfect to unwind and switch off from the stresses of busy work lives. Very quiet and private, a wonderfully cosy little space with a spacious deck and lush gardens to enjoy on a good day. Our dog Max loved the stay as much as we did! Having a hot outdoor bath under the night sky was a particular highlight. Dion is very respectful of your privacy and we didn't see him during our stay, but he is a great communicator and always quick to respond if you have...

"Relaxing/recovering post-op. Wonderful little house, comfy bed, has everything you need. We really appreciated the pellet burner fireplace too! Nice calm location but not too out of the way either. Thank you!"
