Our place is 12 min. from Magnolia Market & Baylor's McLane Stadium & 1.5 miles from I-35. You'll love our place because of its quiet location in the country on a working homestead.

This rental is part of a duplex named "Echt House" and this side (right side) of the duplex is named "The Ranch". The other side is named "The Farmhouse" and both are available for larger groups. We ask that all guests be considerate of any guests that may be renting the other side.

We are only 4 miles from the #1 rated restaurant in central Texas -- Cafe' Homestead -- and the Homestead Craft Village. Also, we're only 15 minutes from BSR or Cameron parks.

Its great for couples, business travelers, solo adventurers and families (with kids).

Note to long term renters: If you intend to book for eight nights or more, we ask that you to contact us prior to booking because we have a short "Terms of Agreement" to sign, other fees and other considerations to mention that make for a better rental experience for all of us. This is especially helpful because of our duplex situation. Thank you for your consideration.

Quiet hours from 11 pm - 8 am. Please leave the trash in the can with the bag open. We will use it for the clean.
Please do not park on the grass. Please do not make the beds you used, any towels you sued can go in the laundry room and please wash your dishes.
We have a short time to clean the house for the next renter. We charge $50 / hr for late check outs-5 min after your check out and every hour after.

Worst Stay

This duplex is out in the middle of nowhere and feels very unsafe. However, that was not the only issue. All the towels smelt like cat urine. The water from the bathroom sink smelt like sewage and we were unable to even brush our teeth.

A great place to stay near Baylor

Even though this place is in the country, it isn’t far from everything Baylor. It was nice and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t spend much time hanging out since we were gone all day, but the little coffee nook was nice (and it had seasonal coffees!) Also, the place was well equipped with any need I could think of. We would definitely stay here again. And it’s great that it is dog-friendly.

Great stay!

The home was stocked well, clean, and perfect for the two of us! Our dogs loved the yard to chase their balls. We loved the quiet mornings surrounded by monarchs and hearing the horses nearby. We can’t wait to visit Waco again!

Our stay at The Ranch/Echt House was perfect. The property is close to the city but secluded and peaceful for a calm, relaxing stay. The home was clean, well-stocked and quite comfortable. We very much enjoyed our time there and would absolutely return. Thank you!

Loved it!

We had a awesome stay. This property was clean and well maintained. Property owner is quick to respond to questions. The best part of all was how quiet the area is and the location being out in the country! The kids loved visiting the horses by the fence. It was an easy drive into Waco for whatever we needed to do. Then a quiet relaxing evening when we came home! Whenever we come back to Waco we will try to book again!

Birthday Trip

My friend and I ventured out to Waco for my 45th birthday trip. This little house was perfect for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The location was out in a rural area and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surrounding area. The house had everything we needed. The host was available and kept me informed off all I needed to know for our trip. I would definitely stay here again

Echo Ranch 👍

The property was perfect for me. I had to work nights while I was in the area, so having a relaxing quiet place to stay in during the day was important. It’s a mile or so away from the interstate, so it’s easy to commute to Waco, yet like being in the countryside. I saw roadrunners, Hawks, cottontails and other animals.

Cozy and relaxing

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Echt Ranch . Very clean, cozy, and inviting. This place was perfect. We had great communication with the owner and would definitely rent again. We cannot say enough great things about this home.

The space was lovely, quiet and clean. I did love going outside and hearing the naying of the neighbor's horses (I couldn't hear from inside). The bed was comfy, and the rental offered everything you could need.

Wonderful place to stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The duplex is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. They even had a cake pan to bake the birthday cake. We would love to stay there again if we are ever in the area. We loved the quiet, country feel as well as all the beautiful butterflies outside.

Quiet enough for us & close to Homestead Heritage

We we’re thankful to be closer to our conference and activities at Homestead Heritage. Our family was very surprised and thankful for how well the air conditioning/HVAC worked. The laundry room being available was so helpful, for guests to store items needed for our week long stay; because it is, a cozy space filled with tools/supplies.
