"From the moment I booked my stay at this property, I was already in constant communication with Freddy at the front desk for whatever questions I may have. Freddy set up my hotel pick both ways. It was easy and comfortable. Javier was also punctual as much as he can. I took the tram to the mountains to see the views of Quito then spent 4 hrs at the Middle of the World park. "cute little hotel perched on a steep hill with great views of the city. Very steep sidewalks and street. Very friendly staff and a nice breakfast. My only negative insight is the the young hotel staff who arrange tours don't have any firsthand knowledge of the tour guides or locations."

"A fine and warmly family operated old building tastefully updated to meet the needs of travelers visiting the area. And just an easy block and a half walk from the Plaza Grande; what more could you ask for? looking hard to find something to fault, the only thing I can think of is that the showerhead was a little difficult to reach in order to direct the flow of water. I hope that Lucia and her son Luis will be there to welcome me when I next visit their fair city."

"This is an incredibly charming hotel. Each room is creatively and uniquely decorated. The staff treated us like family, calling us by our first names each time they saw us. Breakfast is wonderful, as is the customer service. There was not a single thing that wasn't first rate. I highly recommend the Hotel La Basílica, and if we ever return to Quito, this will be where we stay. Special shout-out to Media, Josalie and Byron."

"This is a lovely little hotel with a very welcoming feel and great staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the food (breakfast and dinner) in the cosy restaurant was excellent. The decor is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of Ecuador and the whole layout is very attractive. The availability of complimentary fresh fruit in the sitting room area was a nice touch. Nothing to fault here, highly recommended."
