"Etwas abgelegen aber gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. (Beschilderung folgen, nicht dem Navi!). Unterkunft ist sauber, gute Parkmöglichkeiten, sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Supermärkte mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Toller Strand ca. 15 min Fahrzeit. Der Pool ist super. Komme gerne wieder. "

"Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night. "

It has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen or bbq’ing on the terrace, and the setting within an old castle complex and in the midst of mountainous nature is just awesome. We had a great time here, even though it was unfortunately very short for us. "

"What a find! We went as a large family group, so to have separate apartments for each individual family worked out perfectly for us. Their accommodation was well equipped immaculately clean and comfortable.Some of our part of a clean cyclist, so to any cyclist it’s an absolute Mecca, but you have to like hills! "

"We were awe stricken upon arrival. This home was even better in person. There was one morning when there were low clouds in the valley and we ate on the patio seemingly above the clouds. The views were spectacular. The drive to the home is typical, switchbacks, tight curves and elevation gain. The nights at the main house were cool and comfortable. The pool was always refreshing after our daily adventures. There is a bathroom by the pool for convenience too. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table...

"Ron was a very conscientious, caring and accommodating host, we were contacted personally shortly after booking, he gave us recommendations for the vacation as well as accurate directions before and during the vacation, which was great. "Die Casa Metato liegt oberhalb von Castiglione di Garfagnana, man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf das Tal und die umliegenden Berge. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt, ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam. Gabriele hat uns über WhatsApp mit sehr guten Ausflugstipps versorgt und seine Eltern haben uns überaus freundlich begrüßt. "Wir waren zu 6 als Freundesgruppe dort, und hatten sehr viel Spaß. Man braucht zwar unbedingt ein Auto, wenn man nicht nur in der Wohnung bleiben will, man muss ja auch einkaufen, aber ansonsten war es sehr schön. Freundlicher Gastgeber und alles sehr sauber!"

"Where to begin!? The photos in the listing simply do not do this property justice. It is a truly magical location and I highly recommend it. We rented the entire place, for 20 people, to celebrate a birthday and each family, couple or single had their own private space/apartment, while still being part of the whole. It's charming and had all the amenities. There are several nearby villages to grab dinner or groceries, and Lucca is only an hour away. It's a bit of a hike to the marble quarries,...

"Fantastic house - all as per description - with very friendly hosts. Up the hills but close to parma and Bologna (1,5 hours). Great beds and fully equipped kitchen with fantastic plancha- BBQ. Great for hikes and to to enjoy nature. Cool in the evenings so did not need an airco. Plenty trees and shade. Would go again in a hart beat"
