"This spot is perfectly located. We were just there for a quick overnight, not thinking too much about it, but it worked out so well that I'd just rebook here in the future. "Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. "Sent my hubby and my boys on a weekend fishing trip and they stayed at this place. It was perfect! Place was clean, hosts were amazing folks! After a long day fishing, they were able to chill in the pool. Hospitality was tremendous, and the most important part was that the dogs were the best! Would definitely stay again. "

"We had a wonderful time at Mama Bear‘s cabin. It’s such a comfortable property. Everything worked well, and we loved the hot tub. The beds were extremely comfortable too! We would definitely like to come back and stay again. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."

"Lovely home and close to the town of Graeagle- we walked and biked. Perfectly situated to hiking and biking trails and many lakes. Really nice home!"

"Perfect property for our family gathering! House was great for accommodating multiple family groups. Loved the big dining room table for bringing folks together. The property has great hiking trails (although you need to watch out for poison oak). Alicia and Michael were very helpful giving us the info we needed to get the most out of our stay. "Perfect quiet location in a wonderful neighborhood. We were very comfortable in the home and the beds were fantastic. "

TV was a little difficult to get up and running but we eventually managed. Only other (very minor) thing would be to flip the hinges on the refrigerator door so it opens on the other side. "Found this charming prohibition themed home online and had to book it for my birthday weekend! Invited 3 friends and we had a wonderful time eating, drinking, sightseeing and hiking. Everyone loved the decor and setup of the house. So convenient to walk to town too!"

"Staying at Tara was an amazing experience. Everything was exactly what we were looking for to get away for the weekend! The cabin was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals including spices and condiments (except butter), the couch was so comfortable, there were extra blankets, towels, toilet paper and even a first aid kit.
