"The staff were all lovely. They offered to carry our bags up all the stars to our room at the top and to bring them down when we left.
Breakfast was hot and freshly cooked. Served with a smile."

"I stayed here before an early fly to Germany. this was perfect because it allowed us to sleep longer. the staff was nice and offered to print our boarding passes and provide a wake up call. the hotel is well kept and the last floor has a full bar and restaurant even opened on sunday this was one of our favorite parts of our stay. I recomend staying here "

"Hotel clásico, con hermosa vista y muy bien ubicado a cuadras del centro de Southend on Sea. El hotel tiene un excelente restaurant, buen desayuno buffet incluido en el precio, muy bien atendido. El personal es muy cordial. Respecto a las habitaciones, algunas de ellas miran a un patio interior. También hay olor a encierro por falta de ventilación en los baños."

"Wonderful staff who were very accommodating. We got a free upgrade and enjoyed the view of the sea. We got room service and were served generous portions. Breakfast was delicious! Absolutely would stay here again if I was in the area."

"Overall good for the cost. TV with apps, nice shower, clean etc however bed was very basic, shower overfilled quickly, and walls thin and being on ground floor it was noisy when people entered. Very limited parking outside, was lucky to get a free space two streets away. Fine for single person, would not recommend as a family or couple "

"Stayed here while going to a friends wedding in the local area. Created to really friendly staff and check in was a breeze. The room was compact but had everything we needed, comfy bed and even a little hamper with slippers, teas coffee and milk.
Hotel is above a pub though there’s a separate entrance so coming and going was easy.
Would recommend if you’re near by."

"It was a very nice place to stay at a reasonable cost. Ideal location near to Cooling Castle were able to walk back after the wedding well with a torch. Staff were all friendly. Would recommend."

We ate in the attached restaurant - was really tasty.
Whilst they didn't have one of the breakfast options (no avocado either morning despite having a huge morrisons down the road!) the breakfast was tasty and well cooked.
