"Learned after my stay that the Hotel San Carlos is one of the most haunted hotels in the US, lol. We were even put into room 723 which is next to the haunted rooms of 720 and 722. The 7th floor hallways did remind me of Disneyland's Haunted House since this is an older Hotel with a lot of the original decor. "Everything was very nice except for the person duty when we checked in, his mood was unprofessional and unpleasant. The hotel’s location is the best and the decor is so unique and fun! The free drink card was a very nice touch! Room was quiet, cooled perfectly and bed was comfortable. I would the hotel and just hope you are greeted properly when you check in! Didn’t ruin our time, it was vacation! "

"I would strongly recommend this hotel . Great location and the suites are very nice. Staying in the main floor is not a good idea. Can’t really see outside and the 3 rooms we tried all had saggy mattresses. When we were moved up to the 3rd floor it was grand!!lots of light overlooking the pool and most importantly, we had a very good mattress.
