"Really enjoyed our stay. Welcome was courteous and helpful. We had an evening meal which was delicious. Service was great. Breakfast was the highlight! Enjoyed the Dorset dairy yoghurt. One very minor point no smoked salmon alternative to bacon with the eggs Benedict but mushroom was suggested instead and was equally delicious. "After receiving my key and directions to my room, I was amazed at the steepness of the stairs. In the States we would call that a ladder. But the room was clean and comfortable and the attached restaurant was brilliant. The cathedral and the green were visible from my suite. It was the perfect place to stay."

"Lovely room at top, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, bathroom spacious. Cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. Luckily he mentioned it later, and it got sorted and refunded. Would definitely stay there again, beautiful old building, and although a pub was very quiet in our room, ...
