"Stayed in one of the field lodges. These were so cute and ace! Fabulous design. Bed comfy, shower excellent, Lodge clean and warm. Everything you need is there. Great sitting out in the evenings on the decking area. Staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful. Parking good. Food at the hotel was good too. Had a fab stay!"

"When we arrived about 5.45pm Sunday evening we could hear a lot of noise coming from the bar area . We went to our room and freshened up arriving back at the bar about 6.15pm. The bar was dominated by a group of "locals" who were worst for wear, shouting and swearing. My husband and I retreated to the terrace which was a bit cool. We asked if any managers were on duty and were told no. The staff were just youngsters and had no authority to deal with these people. We were told that the manager...

"Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here."
