"Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. "

"The room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely big shower. The hotel was very nice and again very clean. Great bar. As you walk in to the reception it is very grand like walking into a beautiful Manor House. Breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. The problem I had was it said in the booking email they check in was 2pm. It isn’t it’s 3pm . So be careful."

"Nice looking old building, full of character in keeping with surroundings, however the downside to this was poor internal layout. There was a (small) lift but even with a lift we still had few steps up & down to get to our room so not a problem for us but less abled/non ambient may not have been able to enjoy their stay. "Hotel was absolutely lovely, however the service in the restaurant was very slow and staff were just hanging about chatting and ignored us for quite a while to bring menus, take the order, clean plates etc. They automatically add on the service to the bill. We had 2 cookies and 2 soft drinks on arrival £17! An excessive mark up!"

"This was one of the prettiest places we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was delicious and personalised, wonderfully renovated pub and hotel rooms. Staff were really friendly and great pub to enjoy a drink or eat in. Comfortable, quiet and extremely relaxing with added bonus of bath and sash windows which opened to look out at the front of the property. PERFECT!!"
