"Friendly , pleasant and helpful staff at this hotel. We enjoyed the free organised activities within this hotel, for example the music bingo, which was fun. It would have been useful to be given the list of activities at reception on arrival as we didn't find out about the events until our second day at the hotel. There is even a cinema, All the staff were excellent and very helpful. The prices in the restaurants are a bit expensive especially the Asian inspired restaurant. We hope to return to...

"Great old castle and grounds. Converted to include quite a few guest rooms, they have a great history, breakfast and dinner options were all very good. The bar is unexpectedly well stocked and very comfortable. Would definitely come back. The staff is incredibly accommodating. "

"Although limited parking, we did not have any issues finding a spot. Great location and walked and biked everywhere. Breakfast buffet was excellent and convenient. Staff was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay"

"We loved our stay here, nice country hotel, fabulous food, great room but what really made it special was the staff and their excellent service. Every staff member is friendly, helpfull and polite. A real credit to the hotel. "

"Small compact room right across from the train station and on the pier. Although smallish room, well laid out and functional and it didn't feel especially small. Including a work desk. Good sized bathroom with a strong modern shower. Never saw a person. Was just emailed an electronic key code to get in."

"Niall and Lorna along with all the team were nothing short of excellent. So welcoming to both us and our dogs. The dining experience was amazing and cocktails were really nice. The kind dog treats in the room were a really lovely extra touch. "
