  • 10 minutes from Big Bend and Terlingua Ghost Town. Casa Piedra of Ghost Town Casitas is a beautiful air-conditioned casita perfect for the lone traveler or couple looking to experience this special part of West Texas.

    This cozy one-room with king bed and one-bathroom casita is located in the heart of Terlingua where you can walk over for dinner and drinks at the iconic Starlight Theatre Restaurant & Saloon. Or grab a hot cup of coffee and a breakfast burrito in the morning at the local cafe.

    Details are everything in this rental, from the river rock wall in the bathroom, to the mixed-material ceiling, to the hand-built bonus outdoor shower. Casa Piedra features a king-sized bed, large bathroom, mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, Berkey water filter, air conditioning and heat, WiFi, and an outdoor fire pit -- wood is not included.

    Guests will have access to the entire casita, along with private parking just outside the place.

    The neighborhood is Terlingua's iconic Ghost Town. Just yards away, you can see some of the old mining ruins from an era when this town was livelier.

    There is free parking on the property.

    Casa Piedra is the modern version of one of Terlingua Ghost Town's historic mining ruins -- complemented by its surroundings yet still charming. It's also driving minutes from Big Bend and walking minutes from the center of Ghost Town. A great spot to be for those wanting to experience this special part of West Texas.

Nice place for stargazing. We ate delicious tacos within walking distance twice! The outside shower had a nice breeze which helped with the heat.

A little small but not stepping over each other. Close to the places you want to eat and close to the things you want to see. The quiet was amazing and the view was awesome. Will definitely be going back.

Fantastic xstay

Everything we needed to enjoy are trip to big bend...short drive to Emory peakand a nice place to come back to after along day...really enjoyed cooking aourmeals on the outside fire pit and

Perfect

This property was perfect for my husband and I to stop after being out in the national park camping! We could walk to dinner it was peaceful and quiet, everything we were looking for!

Great getaway casita

We had a great time at this property. Close to the park, lots of fun spots to eat around, and the place itself was clean and nicely furnished. The outdoor shower was a treat!

Private sanctuary

Great location to experience Big Bend National Park. We saw the Milky Way from the fire pit chairs, danced under the stars and enjoyed the sunsets. Love that shower and bed was comfy.

Terlingua Casa Piedra

Very clean and we enjoyed the starry skies and fire pit. The whole area is very primitive but this was close to the local restaurants and there is a small grocery store a few miles away. Close to the Big Bend park entrance which was the reason for our trip.

This is the BEST place to stay in Terlingua! The property is spotless and super charming and it's close to everything! We walked to the Starlight Theater, also the Boathouse as well as a fabulous new food truck serving Eastern European cuisine. Coleman was an excellent host who accommodated our requests. I'm thrilled to recommend this property. Thank you!

Casa Piedra was perfect!

This little casita met all our needs for our three days visiting Big Bend. Coleman was prompt and attentive to our needs and went out of his way to make our stay perfect. We will definitely be back!

Perfect for my husband and I. Walking distance to Starlight Lounge. Nice outdoor seating for morning coffee and afternoon cocktail. I loved the outdoor shower because it was beautiful weather and a groovy little space. My husband declined to use it. To each his own! AC worked great and we really had no problems with anything. Would definitely stay again

Fun Stay in Terlingua

My husband and I used this as a home base for our Big Bend trip. The location to the park was great. In the evenings, we could walk to the activities in Terlingua. It was very peaceful and oh those starry skies!!!

Terlingua

Would 10/10 stay here again! It was both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, from the bed to the chairs to the sweet showers! I can’t wait to stay in the warmer months to try out the outdoor shower! We felt both connected to the area and a sense of privacy. It was the perfect spot!!

A Must Stay!

A friend and I stayed here for one night while we explored Big Bend/Terlingua. This was the perfect place -- it was exactly per the photos. Not super secluded like other places we stayed but it was still very quiet and was only a 3 min drive to the Starlight theater and breakfast, and an easy location to head to the park. It was nice and clean and the manager was very friendly communicating beforehand. Also THE best shower. We would definitely stay here again!
