"The hotel is full of heritage, dating back to the mid 19th century. Both the building and its interior are fascinating, with relaxing colors that create a peaceful and stress-free atmosphere. We stayed for just one night during our long motorcycle trip, so unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to enjoy all the additional services the hotel has to offer. Our room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing - exactly what we needed after several days on the road....

"We had a fantastic time here. The staff went above and beyond, and the on-site restaurant was a real highlight — genuinely excellent food and service that made the trip. The views are spectacular and worth the visit on their own. A couple of practical notes for future guests. The hot tub runs cooler than what we're used to in the US — I'd estimate around 90–95°F — so if you like it piping hot, just set your expectations accordingly. It's still lovely, just more of a warm soak than a hot...

"First of all, be aware that this hotel does not have air conditioning. Europe is experiencing unprecedented heat, so it is important to verify that AC is available. I indeed thought it was, only to be informed at arrival that "only some rooms are". The property itself is ok, amenities are few, reception closes at 6pm. Young, inexperienced staff. We stayed in the superior double" which was stifling and had no view. There are apparently some much better rooms in the hotel if one specifies...

"Great location, right by the lake. Excellent staff - attentive, very responsive and helpful. Great stay. The accommodation was clean and well-maintained. We had to wait a while for our place to be ready, but we had plenty to do on site and were offered complimentary drinks while we waited."

"This hotel was the one-night magical stay we were hoping it would be. It felt like a well-maintained step back in time. The breakfast and restaurant were lovely, the staff were very friendly, and the grounds were STUNNING. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was to sit at the restaurant and to be outside - the flowers, the views, the touches. Absolutely loved it! My only disappointment was that we were there for our honeymoon, and even after contacting them before, the hotel didn't acknowledge...

"Very accessible. Also has central air conditioning, which became very important during the heat wave we suffered while visiting the Jazz Festival. Very friendly and accommodating desk staff. Wonderful management, as I could tell she runs a very tight ship. Also, it was great to be able to walk out of the front door of the hotel and go directly to the main platform of the train station, which was ultra convenient and that I was not fully aware of until I caught a train to Zurich. "The hotel did not bother to advise us in advance that due to the Montreux Jazz Festival we would not be able to park in their parking . The sheets were very poor quality . The view and location is excellent but that’s about it "

" Family trip with two teenagers. We appreciated the space, comfort and layout of room 31. We each had our own quarters, our own balcony and amazing view of the valley. Magnificent. I liked that the toilet was separate from the shower area. What was also useful was having a sink in our room. The ski equipment room is spacious and very convenient. The staff all around were great, always greeting us warmly. We all enjoyed using the wet sauna, dry sauna, pool and hot tub. Acess to the mountains:...
