"This is a totally renovated and reinvented classic motel. They've kept the 1950s colors and styles, but everything is new, clean and functions well. The rooms are very large. The king bed was comfortable. There were lots of light fixtures. The bathroom was excellent. It's a short walk to some really good restaurants."

"They literally stole my room and refused to refund me. Never gave me a receipt. Never gave a good reason. Just 'ask Expedia. ' But here's a $50 voucher to make up for stealing from you. Unscrupulous hotel. Save your money. Go elsewhere."

"V unique accomodation with food pods and tap bar"

"Nice clean place to stay. I didn’t realize this was once a hospital but it is a unique building"

"Overall the property is clean and well maintained. Rooms are well appointed and clean. But we couldn’t get any sleep because of all the noise that refrigerator and air conditioner made. Every hour or so the ice maker would pull water loudly and then make and drop ice. We didn’t get any sleep because of that."

"Comfortable and remarkably quiet, especially given the location right on Route 66. Helpful staff and nice facilities. The only issue was parking - there are not enough spaces available for every guest to park a car, which is most unusual at a motel. We had to park in the nearby neighborhood one night, and there isn't a lot of space there either. Otherwise, great experience, we would return!"

"Was not able to watch PBS when it was in the guide on the TV. First time I turned on the TV it would not turn on. Found out it was not synced with the box. Maintenance came and fixed it. The breakfast was very good but sometimes the food was lukewarm warm instead of hot. Did not offer a variety of caffeinated tea."

"Great place to stay but the parking was a disaster. The map was difficult to read and staff didn’t notify us that a street was closed to get to the only parking lot that wasn’t full. Would pay extra if they offered valet just cause the different parking garages are very confusing."

"The room stinks, front desk is unfriendly."

"There was no pool or fitness. You could, however go to a gym across the street. There was no vending available either. You had to buy bottles of water at $6 each. Overall I was disappointed with that part of the experience. The best part of the property was the on-site restaurant, Char. The food and service were great."

"excellent value and location"

"it is what it is. An old motel on the edge of freeway in an old part of town. Old and cheap (kind of like me) !"
