"Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. Once I showed them my credit card statement they refunded the money...

"It’s old, bathrooms fixtures were really old, carpet had rolls, my glass dirty, towels were rough feeling. Chairs in room old, cushions were flat. Never met the staff except at check in. Food prices were high. Wouldn’t go here again."

"I needed a place to sleep as my neighbor was playing overly loud obnoxious music. I found a room at the Motor Lodge, and hopped in the car. Place was lovely, quiet and clean. I was only there long enough to sleep, but it was exactly what I needed! I highly recommend this place if you are travelling through the Carson Valley!"

"It was a quiet lodge. No staff were around, which wasn't an issue for our 1 night stay. The room was comfortable, and nicely decorated.
A few bottles of water in the fridge would be a nice addition. We appreciated the hot cocoa and tea selection as non-coffee drinkers."
