Close to Katoomba town centre and Scenic World plus FREE NETFLIX

CAREEL COTTAGES are two completely self contained properties. Both are perfect for couples, families and friends. Our BACK COTTAGE is the larger of the two with a fully fenced garden and is available to book now for up to 6 guests. We also have a Travel Cot for guests travelling with an infant.

The BACK COTTAGE is the original cottage on the land
and has been newly renovated in May 2017. From its humble beginnings as a miners cottage in the 1940’s it is now a stylish and contemporary home waiting for you to come and enjoy. So if you are planning a stay in the mountains and want the convenience of being close to everything and not breaking your budget then Careel Cottages will not disappoint.

The BACK COTTAGE consists of 2 BEDROOMS with a Queen in the main bedroom and a double in the other. In the lounge we have a brand new Queen size top quality sofa bed which can accommodate 2 people making maximum people of 6 that can stay.
There are 2 BATHROOMS.
We can now offer a brand new kitchen and dining area that is designed to mix the old cottage ambience with the new. Creating we hope a mountains experience that will make your stay that extra bit special. If you want to cook at home everything is provided for you starting with the spacious essastone bench top and bar. Cooking is a Miele Induction cooktop and your oven is a Smeg. There is a dishwasher and if on a longer stay we have a combination washing machine dryer.
Our new lounge area has a cozy Rinnai real flame gas log fire which pumps out the heat to cope with the coldest of winter nights. All our furniture is super comfortable including our outdoor setting and BBQ area in the new covered patio which is a great space to take in the afternoon sun with a glass of wine.
We provide Foxtel in Both Cottages plus we have excellent high speed internet and offer Free Wi Fi in BOTH Cottages.
ALL LINEN is supplied.

The vaulted ceilings give a feeling of space in the lounge/dining area and the warmth of the natural gas real flame log fire adds that final touch. The kitchen is a galley style contemporary themed design with everything you need to entertain

The FRONT COTTAGE has been renovated in 2016 and has a new bathroom and great new outdoor deck with BBQ.

TV LED HD. FOXTEL with Sports and Lifestyle channels is provided in BOTH cottages as well as free to air and digital channels. Both cottages also have Chromecast connected to the TV so you can stream your favorite Netflix, You tube and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) content from your device to our TV.

Free NBN Wi Fi is supplied for our guests in BOTH cottages. Internet speeds are around 24 Mbps.

Great set up for a family or friends. Having two bathrooms was a real bonus!! Compact use of space makes for really comfortable living and dining areas, plus acess to a large undercover outdoor area. Quiet and private. Just a short drive to the town centre. The owners were available by text for help and advice.

Nice stay thank you. Due to the narrow drive and rear turning circle access was tricky with my Landcruiser. Found the stove top very difficult to operate but that is probably because I am used to gas. The dishwasher is tiny and a struggle for 4 adults. Very nice and warm which was brilliant as we had such cold weather but what else should we expect for Blue Mountains in the middle of Winter! Ha ha

Clean and cozy

We felt like home when we stayed at Careel Cottage, the place was nice and clean. Steve (the owner) was very helpful, providing us with useful information to explore the area and giving us early notice when the place was ready to check in. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.

Great weekender

Thanks so much for Steve and Sharon for letting us stay at your beautiful property. Our family and fur balls had a great weekend. House was comforting and warm (despite the wintery weather). Had all the perks with the TV entertainment package and our 5yo daughter loved the sofa bed. Close to town and surrounding tourist activities and even the pond and walks around the house were very tranquil. The sports and aquatic centre even proved a bonus to fulfil a few hours. Hope to be back again some time

Wonderful

It was a lovely laid out cottage. We loved our 2 nights in it and the outside area was great to have as well. Had every amenity. Close to everything in Katoomba Defiantly recommend.

Perfect Location for family and pets

We loved this well thought out cottage and the location. Close to the town centre and opposite a beautiful park. The owners were so helpful and provided great service. The cottage has everything you need. We will be booking again this year. We had a great time.
