"The location itself is not in a good area. There aren’t any food places close by and you have to travel fairly far to find a decent spot. The room was clean and spacious. The housekeeper was amazing. It was quiet for the most part; however, our car was vandalized. Someone poured oil all over our car. After two car washes and multiple wipe downs, oil is still coming out of places on our car. The property manager did not offer to compensate us for the damages. We paid $30 for a car wash and...

"I had a quiet, peaceful stay. The hotel is beautiful, the room was spacious and clean. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shops in the downtown area of Decatur which was also very well maintained and quaint. Overall I had a fabulous stay!"

"The room was not clean (shower soap scum on glass, toilet had pubic hair as well as it was filthy, smoke detector missing from wall, blinds broken, roaches on unswept floor, stain wood, dirty sheets, telephone in the room was there but the cord wasn't in an outlet). I spoke with the person at the desk stage say she was the managiabd aware of the confiyif the room. I do not recommend this establishment. It appears on Expedias as a nice place but it wasn't. "

"Sugar Magnolia is beautiful, immaculate, stylishly decorated with antiques and run with their guests comfort in mind. It's a special environment designed to make you feel welcome and cared for. It's close to downtown venues and the Beltway, and within walking distance to restaurants. I highly recommend a stay there. "

"Convenient airport shuttle. Room was clean but the thermostat didn’t keep the room cool. However it met our needs for the evening. The staff was very professional under stressful circumstances (30 cranky people in the lobby based on flight cancellations)."

Sadly, the noise from the strip club in the basement and the roof bar reverberated throughout the building, making sleep almost impossible. My room came equipped with a white noise machine and earplugs - not a great sign. I can’t wear earplugs as it’s super uncomfortable and the white noise machine did nothing to drown out the thumping bass that could be felt through my bed. Not a great place to stay if you want to go to bed...
