"We had a great stay at our daughters wedding all the family in one large villa but still felt part of the hotel. Cars come and take you up to the hotel whenever you wish. Or the grounds are beautiful to walk up to the hotel. All the staff we met were amazing"

"Beautiful house with character, host Sinclair was really good on arrival, comfortable room with really comfy chair for sitting whilst doing paperwork later and had an excellent sleep. Breakfast selection was better than any hotel with homemade jams, cooked selections superb."

"If you are a golfer playin Troon, there could not be a mote lovely, refined but casual and convenient property. The star is incredibly kind and thoughtful and the lovely views of the see and the course make for a calm, bucolic, experience. Food and drinks were lovely as well."

"Location is ideal, and spending day/night was from a good base. Staff are friendly and although we dined in the town at night, the breakfast quality suggested that an evrning meal here would have been nice. The use of leisure facilities aided to the relaxation."

"Located near the sea front with free street parking with a supplied visa , and a great breakfast in the morning. Only downside is the awful weather."

"Our room was lovely and it had a nice window overlooking the street. We saw staff/host coming in every now and then and they were fantastic and nice. I had by accident broken a glass of wine and told the host that I'd pay for it however he said that all is good! Will definitely come back!"

"This was our second stay at Barns and it not disappoint. The rooms are spotlessly clean, nice touch with the mini fridge with fresh milk and water. The street is very quiet, as are the rooms. Only 3 rooms but we didn’t hear or see anyone so we had the beautiful back terrace to ourselves, a little sun spot! Lovely large kitchen/dining area for your use but we ate out both nights. Would highly recommend."

"Right next to the coast road, to and from the ferry port. Noisy 24/7 with the SeaView rooms. Well equipped. motel style. Fridge/oven,full sink, bathroom, TV etc. Good size."

"This hotel has now become a Premier Inn. We booked in March to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We received an email from Premier Inn saying they would honour our booking. This was not quite the case and we are still waiting to hear from Premier Inn. Having paid in full through Expedia, was told at reception on booking in that we haven't paid so a credit card was presented and payment taken (again) from that. When we checked out, I had the email confirmation from Expedia which stated it had been...

"We enjoyed a relaxing one night stay. We were in room 7 and the bathroom was very small. However we would still return to the hotel. The gardens were superb. We had a drink in the bar and an evening meal plus breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were very good."

"Lovely place and staff however Room 7 faces the extractor fan outlet for the Kitchen which kicks in at 5:30 am I thought there was a plane taking off! "

"Beautiful little cabin in a wonderful private location. The host is lovely, the place has everything you could need from a well equipped kitchen to a little dressing room. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again"
