"The Spofford Inn (Inkwell Room) was beautiful and meticulously decorated with beautiful pieces to not only make the space modern and clean but keep the charm of the original building. "This is one of the nicest rentals we've ever had. It's a lovely, well-furnished house with terrific lake views and an inviting wrap-around porch for relaxing after a long day of hiking. It's a terrific bargain if you want to explore the Bar Harbor area but don't want to pay Bar Harbor rates for lodging. There is no stove/oven, but we were able to cook breakfast and dinner using hot plates/electric frying pans - plus there is a huge outdoor grill. We're planning on coming back with our adult kids...
