"Very welcoming host, the room had an amazing veiw. Very clean, good variety of tea, coffee and a hot chocolate. The bottle of water in the fridge was a godsend when I got back after a long day. Breakfast was very tasty, full english with a glass of fruit juice and a pot of tea( or coffee). It was so helpful being able to drop my bag off before check in... Which when I arrived I was able to check in early. Also I could leave my bag there when I checked out, meaning I didn't have to lug it around...

"We stayed over for the concert at the open air. The hotel was clean and well maintained- all the staff were polite and friendly. Our room was clean. The bar was lovely and the restaurant and breakfast was perfect. The en-suite was very small but clean. The only thing that would have meant full star rating would have been a better parking arrangement, - a quality mattress and blackout curtains. That being said we would definitely stay here again."

"The room, bathroom and towels were spotless. Breakfast was beautiful. Great choices and very polite, pleasant staff. Music was playing in the breakfast room and whilst most of the songs were pleasant, some were a bit much and too loud for first thing in the morning. We would definitely return however. A very pleasant mini break. The hotel is central to everything with wonderful walks into Scarborough."

"I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

"Staff were helpful however the room was awful. No toilet roll upon check in and also no toilet roll holder. The bathroom was very dusty, the shower took about 20 attempts to switch off. The room was uninviting, stains on the carpet and the chair. The TV seemed like an after thought and was on the windowsil. There were patches on the wall where they appeared to have repaired something but it was a very poor job. The room door did not lock and we had to put the chair againat the door overnight....

"Great location for the Open Air Theatre. Decent room. The hotel looks a bit rundown from the outside, but is lovely inside. Pretty basic, but nothing wrong with that."

"Shower was not working. No fridge available, no comb for hair dressing, no laundry facilities, no fan for warm weather. Not recommended"

"The room look like a building site. Plasterwork cracked paint work flacky. Bathroom there was little room betwheen the toilet and shower.yesterday morning after the toilet l found thè mess coming up the shower drain.l will not be staying there again."
