"Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed."

"A great hotel with an amazing view right on the South Sands beach . Quite a distance from Salcombe if you are walking and the roads around the area are very narrow ( single track) and steep. We used the ferry to get to Salcombe although it only runs until late afternoon and costs £5.50 each way . The food was good and quite reasonably priced. The decor at the hotel was a little tired . Lots of dogs were in residence and were made very welcome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Overall...

"The setting for this hotel is as good as it gets, set on cliff tops overlooking a wonderful sandy beach below. Staff were great, food excellent, strangely, catch of the day was well priced but steak and pork chop overpriced. Our room was wonderful but lacked air-conditioning, was west facing and we were there in another 30 degree plus heatwave, but a fan sufficed. Outdoor pool was excellent but weather so good we didn't get to the spa. Simple to charge the EV , some roads are scary narrow but...

"I have been staying in Dartmouth working for the past 8 months and wish I found this place sooner. It is a lovely room with views and the couple are lovely and very welcoming. This place is better than all the hotels that I have stayed in. Would 100% recommend and happily stay in again."

"Recently cosmetically modernised. Well-equipped rooms. Oddly the windows were all double glazed and sealed - so no possibility of ventilation which is an issue on a sunny day."

"We enjoyed our stay at this historic, well-equipped vacation apartment. The property had everything we needed. While the walk into Dartmouth was more than just a gentle stroll, it was a great way to work up an appetite for the town’s restaurants and cafes. We found enough to keep us occupied in Dartmouth and only felt the need to use our car on a rainy day."

"Lovely location and a great place to stay. Made all the more easier by having a parking permit available for us to use. Flat was well equipped and lovely and clean. Had a little trouble disposing of the rubbish as they requested as we couldn’t access the rubbish location, and the instructions for the check out were a bit confusing. I would definitely early recommend this flat though."

"Amazing 2nd stay. Great quiet cul-de-sac location and close to Dartmouth for exploring (is walkable if you are fit enough). Property is modern, cosy & has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Had brilliant nights sleep!"
