"Room was eh, very noisy and zero air flow. Smelled very moldy and my nose is stuffed up after in night. Decided to eat local at the restaurant and was a disaster. €60 for two people and was the worst risotto, basically eating straight pepper seasoning, my GF had a burger and was so spicy she was sweating. Then had to wait nearly an hour to get a desert, that tasted very off, like expired tasting. To top it off, not really a reception, so you have to go to the bar, and wait like you are...

"Lovely clean room. Restaurant and bar clean and tidy. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Silverstone golf club is a beautiful place to stay."

"A great hotel, we came for an event and the hotel was very convenient and good. We did not eat at the hotel so I am unable to comment on this. However, we did have a drink in the bar and we did have to replace the glasses about 3 times as they were all dirty. The staff seemed to lack training in customer service skills. The same 2 drinks, cost a different amount each time."

"Dog friendly rooms are on ground floor. These aren't comparable to other standard rooms, but charged at same rate plus an additional £20 cleaning charge. Our room was basically furnished with painted plain MDF wardrobe in corner. Window was open in all these rooms presumably to help with smell. Carpets we're stained and smell was very noticeable when windows closed. Despite these comments to reception, we were still charged the additional cleaning fee."

"Staff helpful, room well used and a couple of lights out in the bathroom, but blackout curtains worked and the bed was reasonably comfortable, so a good night’s sleep was had for fifty quid."

"Spa was excellent I had a room in The Paddocks and (as a single female) felt quite vulnerable on the 5 minute walk to and from the main building behind quite a tall hedge. Also my room wasn’t made up prior to the second night. The Poolside was lovely, staff were great and food/bar area all as expected. Will visit again (but ensure I’d be staying in the main building). "

"Quite a good and decent and beautiful 4 star hotel. Service and staff were however far from being 4 star hotel. I had water run out in my bathroom while having shower, very laughable. Breakfast was incredibly poor and not representative of 4 star hotel."

"Could use a bit more out door lighting at night to not be in the pitch black and indicate an establishment is still there but otherwise was a very welcoming experience."

"Super cute, like being in your own romantic little bubble in the countryside. We came to watch a friend do a parachute jump at the airfield for charity. It was the perfect place to stay for a night or two. Loved the BBQ, the view through the windows and the way the space was designed. So compact and yet everything was so considered and well designed. "

"The hosts could not have been nicer, accommodation was lovely, modern and extremely clean and well maintained. Parking was excellent and location near Banbury (10 kin walk to centre) was great ! Will use again ! Recommend ! "

"Clean and very friendly staff. Unfortunately was a noisy stay. My room looked over the pub garden and the windows are old sash windows with a poor seal, so I could hear the pub garden revellers until closing."

"Best low cost place I have stayed. Boarding on luxury. Well maintained room lots of space for all parts desk,bed ,shower, vanity and toilet. Light and bright hallways and stairs. Quiet, nice size tv (noisy bathroom fan) would be my only complaint. Also great old feel to the reception area and comfortable lounge area. Great breakfast with lots of options. And all at a good price. Walking distance bro other shops and places to eat. Would definitely recommend "

"Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace. "
