"Very pleasantly surprised. Room was big, updated, and well laid out. It was 98 degrees the day we checked in. The room was nice and cool. Shower water pressure was great. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a full continental, when hotels are cutting back. Eggs, sausage, 3 juices, cereal, french toast sticks, etc. Its in a great location right off I-5. Lots of food choices, and quick access north and south. MODA was 20 minutes away. We will definitely be back next month. Its a great spot...

"This a no frills hotel. The room was very large, bathroom was very small. Being above the bar and grill meant music thumping until 2am. The pillows were absolutely the worst. We each, the wife and I, had four pillows. The flattest pillows you could ever imagine. "

"Normally, I opt to stay away from downtown Portland, however, I wanted to give the Marriott a shot. The room was quiet, clean and welcoming. The TV only allowed cable TV without the ability to stream from the phone. Not a big deal as I wasn't in the room much and didn't need the distraction. The hotel is situated perfectly for exploring downtown Portland with restaurants and coffee extremely close. Downtown Portland is getting better, however, walking around after dark can be a little...
