"Great value as price included bedroom, comfy bed. Rooms are a bit worn but for work, decent, Wi-Fi is good as well. Bottom of the road leads to the beach which is stunning. Parking can be a nightmare but I fell lucky. "

"A beautiful setting with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean room with good amenities. I also had a stunning beach view. Nothing was too much trouble. They even catered for my Gluten sensitivity. The food at Breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. My massage was heavenly also. The only think I didn’t like was the fact I had to leave such a wonderful place! "

"Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent gardens, delicious menu, good bar. The breakfast only starts at 8 - no good for visiting workers and the walk to the nearby beach is a bit of a nightmare."

"We enjoyed meeting all Staff and found everyone really helpful and friendly. Lovely room, very comfortable. Nice lounge areas too and no dogs. The only thing we found challenging was that the menu for the evening meals didn't change. After two nights, we were lucky that a BBQ had been organised so we could order that for a change. Unfortunately, the BBQ finished at 5pm which was rather early for an evening meal. "

"The Royal is in a great location just off the Tarka Trail a short walk across the bridge into Bideford. I was staying in a Standard Room. I booked a single but was upgraded to a double which was a nice surprise. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment - it didn't interfere with my stay. My room was dated - the bathroom wasn't great it was falling apart and the shower had extremely poor water pressure. My room is one of the ones which is yet to be refurbished. The bed was very...

"Beautiful little cabin, perfect for a couple nights! It was a little bit difficult to find but worth the drive. Lovely scenery and the cabin has everything you need for your stay. Definitely would stay again!"

"Right in the center of town and an easy walk from the train station in Barnstaple. Everything is right there in walking distance and it's all just as funky and charming and welcoming as can be! The hotel's foundation has sunken a bit (or more in some places) which is charming but a little disconcerting if you're thinking you might fall out of bed!"
