"Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath. Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. We’re already booked in for next year!"

Dianna and her amazing team even helped out by washing and drying some clothing. Mid way through my work trip it was as a relief to know I had clean business and personal clothing. "The suite was perfect really large and it looked like it had just been refurbished. Breakfast however was disappointing. Tea and coffee poor and the hot stuff wasnt very nice, this was strange as the food in the restaurant the day before was ok"

"We had a great stay here with a lovely view over to camber castle. This hotel is in a perfect location in the town just around the corner from the church, mermaid street and Lamb House. Outside is a lovely viewing point. It was very peaceful and quiet at night. There is a little bar downstairs which was handy for a post hike drink (lovely bar room and quiet). "Stayed for three nights over Xmas. The walk from the pub to the accommodation was across a muddy unpaved carpark. Access to the room was via a combination door lock and privacy in the room afforded by blinds at the door ,room windows. Unfortunately there was no internal lock on the door and gaps in the blinds afforded a view into the room from outside. The room was cold on arrival and took hours to warm up. "Breakfast was very plentiful and tasty and the two for one happy he with cheese and biscuits was a pleasant surprise. Wasn’t aware we needed to pay £10 for parking however. Room very spacious but was feeezing. No hearing has been put on before our arrival and we had to sit in our coats for ages before it warmed up. Very good location for visiting town on foot "

"The Hotel/Pub is very clean and has a reasonably extensive food and drinks menu. My room (9) was a little small but as a single occupant, it was very adequate. It had a kettle and all the condiments, including some biscuits. A water jug was also supplied. The staff were very attentive and professional. A quick shout to Amelia who went out of her way to provide perfect customer satisfaction. I have stayed before and will definitely stay again."
