"One of the best stays my husband and I have experienced in our entire lives. The property is beautiful, filled with life and history. It's incredibly cozy and comfortable, we both slept well. Breakfast was delicious and we didn't need lunch either day. Tippy is a lovely host cat with fluffy pantaloons and Sir Ellis, the delightful black and white cat, ensured that we never forgot where our room was. We had wonderful conversations and felt as though we were stepping into the home of beloved...

"Host seemed annoyed that we reserved through Expedia. There were only two couples staying in the place and she stuck us both upstairs next to each other. We asked if another room was available but she said that because we reserved through Expedia she couldn’t switch our room. Didn’t make much sense. The place has a lot of character, but we wish the owner was more friendly/welcoming. Also, food was mediocre. It has been much better in past visits here. It’s like we were an annoyance to her this...

"The service was okay they were kind, but Nothing was available for use except the pool which was freezing, sauna was out of order, so was the gym, the continental breakfast was lacking no cream cheese for the bagels, basically just bread. On the ad it said room service (food service), but what it meant was cleaning service. There was a ton of ants in the room also. The first night there we had no TV/Internet. Hopefully it's just in a transition period or something. I wouldn't stay here again...

"The only problem I had was with my server at breakfast. After he brought my water and juice he never returned to my table. When I was finished with my breakfast I sat for 15 minutes then I asked another server for my bill and they had to go find him. "

"This hotel was very clean and well kept. I can’t remember being greeting by a front desk staff in such a friendly, cheerful manner as I was when we arrived. Breakfast buffet was tasty, plentiful with a lot of variety. The only minor complaint I have is the hotel seemed fairly empty and our room was next to a guy snoring. We could hear him. It was funny I guess. Next time I would ask for a room at least one away from other guests if possible. "
