"Stayed for 3 nights. Parking at the rear always available, From 'check in' onwards the staff were pleasant, helpful and professional, including carrying our bags to the first floor room. The double room was quite spacious, with it's own short 'hall' to the bath/shower room and door to the main hotel landing, so you enter into a short hall and not straight into the bedroom, nice touch. The room was clean, nicely set out, comfortable and well equipped. The only downside to the room was creaky...

"The room was very dainted could do with a reverb in the bedrooms stayed on the hottest weekend in June and all we had was a old small fan in the room Bathroom could do with a very deep clean. Pub itself was nice. Stuff behind the bar were very friendly. Landlord was grumpy and chose to see it with both their big air-condition fans facing himself."

"Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. "We arrived at Hawk house and were greeted by a laminated sign that explained how to check in. We called the number, but there was no response. We called the bell (several times) and eventually a young lady came to check us in. She showed us to our room and was helpful. The room was a twin room (we had booked a double).
