Stayed for two nights over a weekend because I was visiting Longleat. Very convenient for this attraction and easy to get to off the A303.
Mel welcomed me and was very helpful throughout my stay and the other staff memnbers were lovely.
I had a large room on the front corner of the property (room 7). Extremely comfortable bed and all the amenities losted when I booked. The property is next to a busy road so there is traffic noise. The bedroom had secondary double glazing which helped to reduced the noise but the bathroom didn't.
I would go back to this hotel but probably ask for a different room; this is mainly because the TV was so far away. Could have done with a 2nd bedside lamp and another one on the desk. Remote control for the radio didnt work and I had no idea how to use the nice dyson fan. The luggage rack was on the top shelf of the wardrobe; I used the desk instead.
Bathroom had the required amenities and nice toiletries. The fan was a bit noisy so I used the light on the vanity mirror. I didn't get on well with the shower; poor water pressure and hot water took ages to come through. I mentioned this on departure.
The food was very good and whilst not cheap the prices were comparable with another hotel that I stayed in. The atmosphere in public areas was friendly and welcoming. Dogs are made very welcome which I like
Overall a good conveniently located hotel with good food.
