"It's definitely a great space to stay to be central to town. The location is first-class: walking distance to town, beaches, and a local pub.A few small things to be aware of when booking. The fridge is very small, we had 4 adults, 2 children, and we had to use two eskys to keep everything we needed.The internet is incredibly patchy, also neither TV has great service, and they aren't smart TVs. "Quiet and peaceful. Rustic charm with almost everything that was required. The cons were that the heating/cooling system was very noisy and drowned out the TV whenever it cut in. The shower was barely adequate due to water pressure and being over the bath entirely unsuitable for elderly or disabled. The mattresses are VERY firm resulting in poor, uncomfortable sleep so we left property a day earlier than planned. "What a beautiful property! We had an hours-long tour with Kathy, the caretaker, who lives in a cottage at the back of the property. There was so much to explore! The kids loved the pool. We played tennis. We walked, and walked, and walked. Quirky, and fun! Kathy and the team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Beds were comfy, and lots of care taken to keep the place clean and visually interesting. Enjoy! "

"We were met at the gate by Sophie, property manager, who took us on a tour through her beautiful gardens and who was kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our four night stay. "The meals were very generous and good pub fare. The room was not heated at all, so be aware in winter it's cold!! An electric blanket would have been helpful. That said, the blankets were warm. Wifi didn't work in the rooms, so we weren't able to watch anything or plan the next day (no tv). Wifi worked in the shared lounge and in the bar. It was clearly a grand hotel in its day, nice that not too much has been modernised. "
