Visit also Ancient Thira on the top of Mesa Vouno in Kamari and the Archaeological Museum of Thera to witness the culture that developed in the 4th century BC in Santorini. Messaria is one of the largest villages in Santorini and as it name suggests it is located in the middle of the island close to all the main sites and the beaches of Santorini! The Antelmi Houses are located in the heart of the traditional settlement, among the village’s mansions that showcase its prosperous past as the centre of the viniculture of Santorini. The only mansion open to the public on the entire island, Argyros Mansion, is located just a few steps from the Antelmi Houses.
Here you will be part of the authentic everyday life on the island. The architecture of the village follows the genuine structure where the houses were built next to each other to be protected from the winds.
