  • This large vacation house is situated at the edge of the El Yunque National Rainforest on 6+ acres of tropical rainforest jungle. Private gated access, on a small mountain just 1 mile from PR3. Large private patio and 10x20' salt water swimming pool constructed on the mountainside. THE POOL IS USED BY GUESTS OF RENTAL HOUSE ONLY, NOT SHARED WITH ANYONE ELSE.

    This is not a cramped condo or apartment with many neighbors. You will be in a safe mountainside tropical jungle setting, in a large concrete house, with plenty of room to explore and enjoy!

    The property is close to El Yunque National Forest, Luquillo (Monserrate) Beach and kiosks, Carabali Rainforest Park, Hacienda Siesta Allegre, and just 20 expressway miles from San Juan. The ferry terminal to Culebra & Vieques is 23 miles.

    Bedrooms: NO BUNK BEDS!
    King bed in master suite with walk-in closet and separate bathroom with large shower. The second bedroom offers a comfortable queen, a futon, and twin mattress for a variety of sleeping options. A queen bed is in the third bedroom. Second Bathroom is at end of hallway, near bedrooms 2 and 3.
    Two Pack N Plays are available for traveling babies. A high chair is also available.
    The couch in living room contains a queen bed.
    Linens, pillows, and towels (including beach towels) are provided.

    The house has accommodated many gatherings with friends and family sharing in the food preparation in the open kitchen with large island, with many guests gravitating to the large patio, or the open two stall garage in rainy weather.

    Open floor plan and spacious rooms are located on one level, making it easy for elderly or toddlers to get around. No steps! Pool just off the patio has an iron security gate.

    If you want to stay where you have all the amenities of home yet are near many attractions the island has to offer, reserve this home!

    Ceiling fans and air conditioners in each bedroom and living room.

    Full solar system ensures you won't have any power blackouts, which is a common occurrence on the island, while you are on vacation.

    1,000 gallon water reservoir makes sure you will have a shower when you need it, regardless of the inconsistent utilities that occur frequently on the island. And yes, a hot shower!

    Roku smart tvs in each bedroom and wi-fi throughout.

    We want your vacation to be a wonderful time and can help with anything you need before or during your stay. Host resides in separate 2nd floor unit with separate parking and entrance. Hosts do not monitor guests. With 8-10" of concrete between the floors, noise has not been an issue. See previous guest reviews.

This location was perfect for our first visit to Puerto Rico. We loved the pool, the house was spotless, and we loved having Daisy paw at the door in the evening and morning to say hello!

Wonderful stay. Property is beautiful, has everything that you need and is in a great location. Pool was a bonus and the rainforest noises were so nice to listen to in the evenings. Our family had a fantastic stay. I would happily return!

We chose this house for my granddaughters graduation trip. The house was just perfect. It was very comfortable. Close to so many things. I love that Kim has a whole list of things to do on a chalkboard in the kitchen. Check-in and check-out very seamless and easy. I will absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful grounds. Very comfortable and well-kept accommodations. Our family of 6 adults had plenty of space. Central point of access to El Yunque, Luquillo Beach, San Juan. Hector (host) was friendly and available. Would definitely stay again and hope to!

Wonderful property. Like staying at your own rainforest resort. Kim was very responsive when we had a small hiccup with the security gate going offline due to power and we enjoyed meeting Hector and his recommendations were great. Perfect location with easy access to Luqillo Beach and El Yunque. We very much enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our family of five.

A piece of paradise!

The property is even better than the listing! Its clean, well appointed, safe and very private. We loved the hosts and their sweet little dogs. If we go back to PR, we wouldn't dream to stay anywhere else!

This was my sister’s and my first time in Puerto Rico. What an awesome experience/adventure it turned out to be. And finding this home was the icing on the cake. The sounds, the sights, pool, everything was fantastic. And Hector, the host who lives upstairs was so kind!!! Very helpful and accommodating, made us feel so welcome and not the least bit intrusive. In fact, with this place being so secluded, having him there gave us a sense of security. This is one place I would love to come back and visit again. Highly recommended.

The house was very clean and stocked with everything you could imagine you would need and then some. It was breezy, airy and very comfortable. The pool gets sun most of the day and then when you probably have had too much sun it gets shady so you can still use it safely from the sun. We truly enjoyed the marvelous hostess Marsha-mellow "Daisy". She greated us daily with such enthusiasm and joy. She made sure we were having the best time. This stay was authentic Puerto Rico Rainforest style. Close to everything you would want to do. We would do this again in a second!

Awesome Experience

I stayed at La Lomita for the second year in a row because I enjoyed my stay there so much the first time. Clean, beautiful house with all the amenities you could want with a great view and atmosphere. Kim and Hector are great hosts with excellent communication. Would definitely stay there again.
