This charming one-bedroom cottage (and our two-bedroom next door- see listing number below) are in the heart of all the excitement, history, heritage and charm of Old Town San Diego. Private and tropical, this adorable cottage is located in the center of the birthplace of San Diego, walking distance from a plethora of delicious restaurants, quaint shops, Old Town State Historic Park, all in a fun and lively authentic Mexican atmosphere! Visit many FREE museums that explore some of the more mysterious legends of early San Diego, offer tours of original historical sites, 'haunted tours,' and more! In addition, you will find Mariachi shows, dancers, live outdoor theatre performances and more surprises as you explore the streets of Old Town on foot.
Close proximity to beaches, Sea World, downtown, San Diego Zoo, Coronado-- this property is central to all! The Old Town trolley offers a delightful tour of the city, and leaves two blocks from cottage!
Public transit center is less than a half mile away with access to buses, light rail, and Amtrak. Renting a car is entirely optional!
Cottage features one full bedroom with queen bed, full upgraded bath with shower/tub, full-size fold-out sofa in living room, full upgraded kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and coffeemaker. For guests with little ones, we can provide a high chair and a pack and play. One designated parking spot OFF street! Private patio area with table and chairs for al fresco dining or just relaxing in your own landscaped retreat. Also please see listing #972676 for our neighboring two-bedroom. Both properties are equipped with heating/air conditioning.
PLEASE NOTE: As we do have a very welcoming pet policy, please advise us ahead of time of any allergies or sensitivities so that we are able to make sure you are comfortable. Cottages are meticulously cleaned after each stay; however, some severe allergies can still be affected by the past presence of animals, so we will do what we can to remove any allergens before your stay. Thanks!

We enjoyed our time in the back cottage. Everything we needed was available. We were able to just walk to so many sites and restaurants. Will definitely try to come back again!

I spent a lovely week with my dog at this adorable 1BR cottage in Old Town San Diego. Check in was easy, and the place was very well supplied with everything from plastic bags to cooking equipment to a flashlight. The little long patio outside was great for throwing the ball for my dog, or just sitting to enjoy morning coffee. Joan was very accommodating to requests, and even brought over a basket of dog toys and a jar of treats for my pup when we arrived! Whether I spent the day lazing around the house or meeting up with friends, I found this the perfect location for easy access to the freeways, food, gas stations, and a nearby doggie daycare, not to mention the joy of just wandering around Old Town without having to worry about parking. It was an altogether delightful place to stay, and this unit or Joan's other unit, the 2-bedroom in front, will be my go-to when I return to San Diego.

Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The place was perfect and there was even a dog bed, toys, and a water dish filled with water waiting for us when we got there. Within walking distance to lots of dog friendly restaurants and within a 10-15min drive to all the things we wanted to do in San Diego, including an off leash dog beach. Would stay here again.

Lovely Trip

We went looking for a pet friendly place for us and our puppy. We absolutely scored with finding this location. The space outside was our favorite, and the location was perfect. Easy drive to everywhere we wanted to be. We will definitely be back!

Another great stay!

This Cottage in Old Town is perfect for our needs - we try to stay here every time we are in San Diego. The location near the transit center and all the restaurants/shops is so convenient! The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped with everything needed. Dove & Joan are accommodating hosts who respond quickly to questions. The check-in process is easy. We're already looking forward to our next stay!

Joann was an absolutely fantastic host! From the moment we arrived, she was welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. When our plans changed, she graciously worked with us to extend our stay, which we truly appreciated. Her flexibility and kindness made our trip stress-free and enjoyable. The property itself was clean, well-maintained, and just as described. Joann’s attention to detail and hospitality made us feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Perfect for dog lovers

We were traveling with dogs so this place was ideal--it had a little fenced backyard so they could be comfortable. The owner was incrdeibly helpful with suggestions for dog walks and dog parks as well as recommendations for local restaurants.

Amazing Visit

The property is beautiful, and conveniently located right next to old town. Host went above and beyond to accommodate last minute requests, and has every amenity you would need for your household. Definitely plan on booking again for future visits.

Convenience Plus!

Neat and clean little spot in the heart of Old Town San Diego, has everything needed for your stay. Easy walk to several good restaurants. Off street parking, responsive owner. A gem of a place, highly recommended!

Wonderful little cottage

My fiance and I stayed here for a one-night Valentine's Day getaway and it was perfect. Quiet, comfortable, and spacious. In the morning, we walked across the street to the little breakfast cafe. Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely consider a longer stay in the near future.

Great stay!

You can’t beat the location! Right in the heart of Old Town. Very cute cottage. Perfect size for my husband and myself and our pup. Very clean and bed was one of the most comfortable we have had while traveling! Joan ( the owner) is a lovely lady and you can tell she genuinely cares about her visitors. We will most definitely stay again!
