"My stay was perfect, the room was clean, comfortable and little touches like a coffee machine, complementary water in the fridge was great. The shower, a walk in was amazing. Had evening dinner the food was delicious and service quick and lovely staff serving. The English breakfast was filing and perfectly cooked. We were there for a funeral, and the hotel was hosting the wake, very happy with the hospitality of the staff. Plenty of parking, would love to return. Well done everyone"

"This is an excellent facility with good beds and bathrooms. Our stay was spoilt by surly unhelpful reception staff. After telling us that we could not check in before 3 pm, the same person checked in a crew of pilots. Then at 3:05 When apparently we qualified to check in we were given a room on the top floor. My wife had an injured knee and asked if there was a room available on a lower floor. Although we were the first to book in after 3 pm we were told there were no other rooms...

"Beautiful location and property very nice but can't believe there is no lift / elevator in the building. Disappointing breakfast offering. Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...

"Friendly welcome. Characterful room with good quality tea tray. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not overly clean and the bathroom in particular was tired, run down and felt grubby. Black and dirty sealant around the outside of shower. Broken tiles on floor, broken loo roll holder, grubby and badly marked walls and thick dust/grime on skirting. With a deep clean and a little maintenance this could be a great place to stay."

"With a huge gym and a 20m swimming pool it is quite a rare find in the area. Avid swimmers note, though, that pool is 30-31 C temperature so vigorous swim in freestyle may have to be cut back due to overheating if used to normal lane swimming temperatures. Understandable, though, as it is used by non-hotel residents & kids so it has to be warmer. Staff were extremely helpful, food menu in the "restaurant" was quite good and breakfast buffet was decent. I had to put "restaurant" in double...
