2. Charming 1-bedroom Cabin in the Forest Nevada City with AC, WiFi

Nevada City

"Very cute little cabin! We loved the decor and feel of the place. One thing that surprised us if that this cabin is actually attached to a house where the family lives. When we pulled up we thought maybe we were in the wrong place because the listing doesn’t mention it being attached to the main house. There were multiple trailers or dwelling units (2-3) and other people living on the property so it seems. We thought it was a stand alone cabin. It ended up being fine but definitely something...

"This home was dirty. We book 2 people for 4 nights. The inside of the microwave was disgusting, the refrigerator had a stinky smell, and the floor was sticky, I wanted to clean out the microwave so I could use it, but there was only one half sheet of paper towel left on the roll and no others to be found. I couldn't find a mug for my tea, till I looked inside the dishwasher but honestly I couldn't tell if the dishes were clean or dirty. Yes we could have gone to the store and bought our own...

"What a wonderful place to stay for our first time visiting Grass Valley! Kyle and Sita were excellent hosts, and the property was beautiful and lively with gardens, cats, and color everywhere. The cottage we stayed in was super comfortable, clean, and cozy and was just what we needed for our weekend getaway. It was a quick easy walk into town but tucked away in a quiet corner which suited us perfectly. Thanks for a lovely time!"

"Overall, this was a great little home base to explore the areas of Grass Valley and Nevada City. It was perfect walking distance to pretty much everything in downtown Grass Valley, including shops and restaurants. The area seemed safe, clean, and the neighbors were friendly with us. We loved how the Treetop Loft included a kitchen, laundry, and beyond. That seems perfect for people that like to be outdoors or if you wanted to cook to save some money. Pros: Great location, fair price,...

"Fantastic setting, great accommodations, including comfy bed, and kitchenette, able to make my breakfast and lunch perfectly. I could sit on the porch and look at the trees and I even saw deer walking by. It was only a few blocks to the main part of Grass Valley, but felt very rural. When I needed batteries for the remote control for the TV they were delivered quickly. I will definitely come back."

"Wow. The Air Dream is exactly that, a total dream of a place to get away for a few days and such amazing, thoughtful and generous hosts to boot. You can just feel how much love went into this little spot and that they tried to think of everything to create a beautiful place to land and unwind. It was so magical to wake up and literally step out into the woods, get in the hot tub and take an outdoor shower surrounded by a million trees. "Another amazing stay at Tara Cabin! Anyone fortunate to have experienced this slice of heaven knows exactly what I mean when I say it was magical! The only sad part was leaving! Such a blessing to have found this place a year ago.... it will definitely be a yearly trip! This stay we also rented the Buddha hut for my son and his girlfriend and they had a wonderful time - it's a perfect little space for additional short term guests and so reasonably priced. Thank you so much for all the...

19. The Paddlers’ Suite in Nevada city

Nevada city

"As always, we enjoyed our stay at the Outside Inn. The only issue was that a previous guest had obviously smoked in the suite. It mostly smelled in the kitchen. They probably thought they could open the windows, and nobody would be the wiser. It doesn’t work that way. Once you smoke inside, it is nearly impossible to get the smell out. It’s beyond rude to the proprietor and future guests. That there are grounds with ashtrays makes your selfishness more offensive. We will be back, but probably...
